The location was brilliant and the staff where very friendly and helpful.

I was looking for an affordable place to stay right in Berlin's "Mitte" section, so I could walk everywhere. Hotel Novalis is amazingly central and a real bargain. I also wanted WiFi and breakfast - both were available, WiFi was free. Public transportation to all parts of Berlin is available within a few blocks, and some very good restaurants are within a block or two. It was really easy to stop back in during the day to take a break, and then head out again, since the hotel is so centrally located. The friendly manager was right there ready to help when I arrived. The room had twin beds and was very comfortable. Even though it was freezing in Berlin during my stay, my room was toasty and there were plenty of blankets. Good bathroom facilities right in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a very pretty room.

The mattress could stand to be upgraded. I would also have liked the ability to make tea/coffee and sit in the nice breakfast room at other times of day.

We really liked the hotel, close to the main train station in a quiet area, the room was big, very clean and comfortable, and the young lady in the reception deserves an a+ in costumer service (she helped us a lot with everything we needed and was very kind...) If we come back to Berlin someday we´ll stay in this hotel again for sure.....

The room was clean, but a little bit small. The breakfast was very good, served in a nice dining-room. The staff was extremely helpful ! No noise from other rooms or from the streets. The hotel is situated a short walk distance from the very centre of Berlin, and according to that, we got very good value for the money !

Номер маленький, непритязательный, скромненько (маленький холодильник наверно годов 80-х), но до бундестага 30 минут пешком, до музейного острова тоже 30 минут пешком (т.е. общественный транспорт не нужен). Хозяева и персонал говорят по-русски, заселили нас после 19.00 (т.е. примут и после окончания времени заселения), если свободен то дадут талон (ваучер) на бемплатную парковку (т.е.кладешь его на приборную панель и оплачивать парковку не надо - просто он у них вроде один, поэтому если несколько машин, то может вероятно и не достаться).

Die Lage ist super. Man kann den Reichstag, Museumsinsel, Dom, Alexzanderplatz, Friedrichstadtpalast und Brandenburger Tor bequem zu fuß erreichen. Gaststätten sind auch reichlich in der Nähe.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals hat uns gut gefallen.

Die Matraze war für mich zu hart und die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut, saubere Zimmer, freundlicher Empfang, gutes Frühstück, zentrale Lage. Man darf sich nicht von der äußeren Fassade abschrecken lassen - es ist ein nettes Hotel, das für Städtereisende wunderbar geeignet ist.
