Ox Hotel  

the hotel and the restaurant are open till midnight. it is not very usual in Germany and is very good for a late arrival. that was my reason to choice the hotel.

everything is bad there. no heating all night long. they stop the heating from 10-11 pm till morning and in the room is realy cold during the night (in winter time). between the room and the bathroom is a glass door which close badly. no intimity, from the bad you can see directly the toillet. confortless bed. poor and low quality breakfast, completely unsual for german hotels especially at this price level. they have a restaurant with cuisine but they prepare nothing (except boiled eggs) for the breakfast included in room price. only ham, salami and cheese from supermarket. if you want something else is possible if you pay extra. for me, the first and the last experience here despite the good location for my trips.

Not much to like in this hotel, except maybe that is a relatively quiet place.

There is no heating during the night, not even during winter. We arrived late and although the hotel staff was aware of our arrival, the room was not heated during the evening so we were offered a cold room but no solution except an extra blanket. Breakfast extremely poor and limited to a few cold things that vanish before 9:30 am. The staff seems to care only about visitors coming from outside to eat breakfast as they are offered a more wide choice, including hot dishes, longer hours and even reserved tables. We ate dinner and the menu is only in German. Nobody came to make our room during the day. I didn't care that much about that but I just requested one of those minuscule soaps. We got smiling promises but we are still waiting for the soap a week later :) Overall, big dissapointment.

The Ox Hotel is lovely. I loved its design, its look and its vibe. The bar is cool and full of young trendies. The food is good quality and good value. The place seemed at odds with its rather sleepy, small town surroundings - once inside you feel like you could be in a bar in a big city. I loved everything about it and would definitely go back again - I'd even make a detour to stay there in the future.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel. Der Biergarten vor der Tür ist wunderschön. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, sehr gut besucht und hat Wohlfühlcharakter. Das Frühstück ist übersichtlich aber ausreichend. Extrawünsche werden umgehend erfüllt. Wir werden ganz sicher wieder kommen.

Das Hotel hat keine Rezeption im herkömmlichen Sinn. Das Personal ist mehr auf das Restaurant geschult als auf den Hotelbetrieb. Da ist sicher Verbesserungspotential.

Troisième visite dans cet hotel trés bien situé afin de profiter des thermes environnantes

Une vraie déception que le petit déjeuner soit maintenant relégué dans une salle premier étage type "conference"sans âme ,le bar restaurant était nettement plus agréable

Ox Hotel ligt in een klein dorp aan de rand van het zwarte woud; in het dorp is weinig tot niets te doen; vertier moet je elders halen. Het design hotel is mooi en heeft fraaie kamers. Het restaurant is gezellig met aardige bediening. Wel mis ik de handdruk van de eigenaar bij aankomst en een bedankje bij vertrek. Er is een groot verschil tussen het optreden van een eigenaar een een zetbaas. Het ontbijt en het eten is origineel; goede samenstelling van de menukaart en een goede product/prijs verhouding. Dit blijkt ook wel uit de vele gasten die het aantrekt uit diverse lagen van de bevolking. Ons verzoek om onze hond (labrador) mee te nemen was OK; echter het hotel heeft geen lift; de trap was spiegelglad en de hond kon dus niet mee en een ander hok/onderkomen te vinden lukte niet. De hond heeft dus 5 dagen in de auto geslapen, uit nood. Verder kijken we met veel plezier terug naar ons verblijf; binnen 30 minuten zaten we in de sneeuw.

zie bovenstaande mail. Extra probleem is om beveiligd de auto te parkeren; parkeerterrein achter het hotel is beperkt en vaak bezet door personeel of toeleveranciers.

- Sehr nette und kompetente Mitarbeiter, guter Service, sehr gutes Essen, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet

- Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer ( besonders in den Ecken ) war nicht optimal, das frisch aufgezogene Bettlaken hatte Löcher, das Bett war sehr hart

betaalbaar overnachten en lekker eten voor goede prijs

de grote kamers,lekker ontbijt en restaurant,mooi en onderhouden interieur,goede ligging

L'accoglienza

goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding, goede keuken zonder pretenties, goed bed, goede geluidsisolatie.

kamers niet gezellig, erg kille verlichting, geen bruikbare kastruimte, geen verlichting boven wastafel, kortom: niet helemaal doordacht ontwerp.

Fruehstueck war eher schwach sauberkeit der zimmer

Absolut spitze und einfach nur genial! Saubere, geräumige und moderne Zimmer und eine tolles Restaurant! Freundliche Mitarbeitende!
