Great view over Freiburg - brand new trekking bikes available for free (when staying in Panorama rooms) - Very fFriendly staff - Good restaurant where both "gourmet" and "brasserie" menu are available - small details like ice tea and apples free at the reception

Internet not free of charge (a bit old-fashioned in 2013) - Almost impossible to reach without a car, although this is not clearly stated on the website (should be) - Restaurant is a bit expensive, especially the wine card (completely disproportionate to the purchase price)

We loved the old fashioned decor. It is dated but in a tasteful retro way. It sort of 007 meets Titanic. We were amazed by the purple fluorescent lights around the bed.

Great value. An absolutely awesome room/facilities with a wonderful staff for two to three star prices.

Extremely bad Internet wifi: for 8 euros per day it's not reliable and slow. Shame to have such wifi in 21st century

De atmosfeer van het hotel, mooi boven Freiburgs daken en het uitstekende restaurant maken dat ik hier al 31 jaar met veel plezier verblijf.

Quiet

Poor parking and limited quality Internet worst pillows available which is typical of most German hotels. They all stop short on the little things that would make really nice places to stay.

They milk you for everything. They even sell you toothbrushes. 17 Euros for breakfast? My foot.

Good value for money and a fantastic view!

The location

The fact that my room wasn't finished / ready to be used. What made this worse was the fact that when I checked out in the morning, I mentioned the fact that: I couldn't close the curtains There was a bulb that kept turning on whenever I turned over There was no Tea / Coffee facilities The was no phone in the room to order room service The TV channels on the card in the room didn't all work. When I mentioned this to the staff in the morning they said ' we know, you're room wasn't ready'!!!!

The location

No free Wifi, it is absolutely crazy that a hotel of this class does not provide unlimited wifi Internet as part of your stay. The price of Internet is ridicules as well, a true ripoff.

The service was excellent and the views were stunning.

The decore and some of the lunch food menu items seem to be stuck in time.

The views of the city were superb from the top of the hill. The staff were all very helpful and polite. Good breakfast on the terrace.

The location at the top of the hill will not suit everyone. It was very expensive in the restaurant. I would not pay more for a meal than the cost of the room! €150 for two people seemed over the top. We had a car and found some great restaurants in the city.

Price for the breakfast and evening meal........take the car of walk to the center for a meal for normal prices!!

I was really shocked when the reception staff informed me that my reservation was canceled and the hotel is fully booked..!! He claimed that this was due to a crash in the reservation Server. This was not acceptable excuse to me, I know for sure that such incident would not make the hotel loose the reservations of the guests, specially that it is a 4 star hotel which suppose to have a world wide reservation system. Any how, my room was giving back to me within half an hour after I had to get in ouch with the reservation manager.

Nothing good about this hotel. Expensive tiny uncomfortable rooms, the panorama if you have one isn't at all spectacular

The staff is very welcming, proffesional and helpful. The resturant is excellent and worth each eu - gets a round 10 .

The rooms, although upgraded room in the top floor, are very basis. Shower very small and as a whole - not fit for such a hotel.
