I told them it was our honeymoon and when we got to our room they'd sprinkled rose petals on the bed and the floor and the shelf in the bathroom. They'd also placed chocolate on the pillows. I liked the staff very helpful, she shook both our hands on arrival making it more personal. The view was lovely in this hotel, the rooms with the balcony were great. Pool sauna great. We didn't have breakfast as we decided to go downtown to Freiburg and sample food there which was great too. Bookings.com reviewers said that 17 euros for brekkie was too much for what they got so we didn't sample the menu. |

Location at the edge of the forest overlooking freiburg. Many walks possible from the hotel and even to the old town was only 50 mins. The restaurant has an excellent chef and the food delicious and inovative. Did not tka ebreakfast as we considered the price too high. Took breakfast at bakery bottom of the hill. Two rolls jam and coffee for 2:10!! |

The professionalism of the staff at all levels. The location. The facilities. At breakfast, they could have provided a 'meet and greet' host who took you to a table, rather than leaving everyone to find their own. |

Great pool, wonderful review, relaxing, comfortable, and loved the free fruit in the lobby. Very welcoming! The cost of breakfast...No breakfast in Germany would ever be worth 17 euros per person! We ate extremely well during our travels throughout the country and often payed less for an evening meal...drinks included! We did not take the breakfast and kinda felt cheated...the room was a great value but breakfast shoould be affordable and was somthing that we included as a standard in our hotel bookings |

Nice position above Freiburg with panoramic views from rooms and balconies across the City. Very attractive terrace and swimming pool. Relatively expensive (17 Euros) breakfast, but excellent standard and choice. Friendly and welcoming staff on reception |

Great location with outstanding views and balconies..Nice friendly and helpful staff breakfast too expensive for the value. First day June 2 the breakfast buffet was basically empty. table was not set, we had to ask for silverware, cups for coffee etc.. No rolls (brucheon) the staff was friendly however and helpful. Second day the buffet was better but still the value was not there |

The hotel staff is extremely well trained and everyone made it their mission to make sure we were happy. The view is wonderful and the food is fabulous -- though not cheap. The robes and slippers add a nice touch. It is extremely hard to find in the city -- I wish it were better marked but well worth the search. Breakfast was pricey. |
