Score from 108 reviews Very good
Good location on the border of the historical part of the city (3 minutes walk). Good breakfast. Large bathroom. Restaurant on site.
The lack of parking. You can park your car on a public parking lot at the Mal - distance approx. 350 m. Hotel gives parking card but it does not work what causes problems with entry and exit by car. The staff barely knows English. Additional fee for accommodation with a dog.
Rooms were clean and updated.
WiFi connection was not super good in rooms.
Great restaurant, friendly staff and very comfortable interconnecting family room
Enjoyed a large room with excellent cooling as well as friendly and helpful staff.
The lift only went so far!!
Very friendly and attentive staff. Dinner bed and breakfast rate very good. Dinner very good, breakfast lovely.
Parking for our motorcycles. It would be better if they had parking at the side of the hotel. They gave use good advice where to leave the bikes and we really appreciated their help.
The location to Wittenberg is great. We stayed for 3 days and very quickly learned our way around. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - great presentation and delicious food.
I did not find the staff very friendly. I apologized that our German wasn't very good but we could not find anyone who spoke English. When traveling with children and having questions about parking and meal times etc. this became a bit challenging. I was hoping to find written information in the room in English, but no! I don't think the language barrier would have been a problem if I had felt encouraged with a friendly smile or warm gesture but, except for a very nice staff member who served the breakfast, we felt a bit isolated and lost. It pains me to write this because overall the hotel was fine but we were just really in need of some smiling faces and encouragement!
The staff were excellent, the breakfast good. The restaurant accommodated my need for a plate of mixed vegetables with a very generous serving and variety.
Our room was a bit small.
The breakfast and the breakfast staff. The room itself was very nice, especially the bathroom. The location was an easy walking distance to the old city.
The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The only English TV channel was CNN. One of the women (with very short black hair and large black glasses) who worked at the front desk during the day and on the evening wait staff was very rude. I tried to eat in the hotel restaurant on my first night and she actually made me feel unwanted --and I was a guest at the hotel. So, I walked out and went to a city restaurant instead. I've never had that happen ANYWHERE!! (The rest of the hotel staff were very hospitable.)
The room was bright and comfortable. The air-conditioner was great! The hotel is convenient to city attractions.
We had two rooms connected by a hallway-a double and triple room and each had a bathroom. Very roomy and comfortable. Our dinner in the restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. Breakfast was also good. You could walk to the sights in Wittenburg.
friendlyness of staff and all of the facilities.
Nice small hotel, friendly people, good breakfast
Free internet limited to two hours
Good location, great breakfast selection, good food at the restaurant in the evening, nice desk clerks
Parking was confusing so we wound up parking in a regular outside lot without the discount. Sunday morning breakfast was between 07-0900 -- way too early especially on a cold, rainy Sunday. The town was undergoing major renovations on both churches so the trip was disheartening as well.
Clean and comfortable rooms incl. view to the Schlosskirche (at least in our room). Breakfeast was good. Overall a very good impression and can recommend it.
No free internet access. I hope they will provide this soon.
location of the Hotel - near the old town
why should I say, when I would like to have breakfast one day before? I thought it would be a hotel and I can have breakfast any time between 7 and 11?!
Friendly staff, good location close to the centre. Everything looked clean and well maintained.
The floor in my room shook, the walls are paper-thin, I could hear neighbours shower. The front door slams without any damper, and each time my room right above (Nr.15) shook. Surely, it would be easy to affix some damper!
Excellent location, 50 feet from a bus stop with direct connection to the train station, 10 minute walk to the old city; very clean and well maintained property
Breakfast was adequate but not great; a bit limited in its selections
Comfortable room, good cooking, excellent position for tourists.
One of the staff seems to have "attitude problems", which can make a stay less happy than it would otherwise be.
