good food

My friend and I liked everything just a pity we only booked for one night. The mountains are just breathtaking.

Loved the onsite staff. I believe they are the owners. Location was great and only a short distance away from the Fussen shopping area. Onsite dining was classy and very good. Room was very nice, new, and comfortable.

The setting was very beautiful, and close to our preferences to visit sites. The staff was very friendly, with a restaurant that served authentic delicious meals. We appreciated the quiet room and clean facilities. A fantastic spot to stay when touring the Romantic Road!

Parking can be a little tight .

Located just outside Fussen and convenient for the great Bavarian castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein the Pension Carina was wonderful. The food served at the associated cafe excellent and the included breakfast wonderful. All together very friendly and relatively in-expensive. Beautiful location by the lake. Also if you are going to the castles, it is close enough that it is good to go early ( about 8am) to the booking office and book your timed tickets for later in the day. The buses arrive about 9am and the lines for tickets get long.

The owner of the hotel is a very kind lady, very friendly. She cooks super good german food. We really enjoyed the pork knucle and cheese noodle. The location is fantastic. 2 minute walk to the lakeside. The view is simply amazing. The room we stayed in is on the top floor, with a little terrace and facing the lake. The toilette has a window on the ceiling which gave us very special feeling. By the way, you must try the bread of the breakfast. The taste is unforgetable. Overall, it is super in every aspects.

The bed is confortable, however when you move on it, it makes some noice as if it is not firm enough.

Everything!! The room had a view of the lake; it was comfortable, large and very clean.

Excellent place to stay for the couple of days - quiet, clean, friendly, close to many interesting sites, beautiful location, friendly staff, good restaurant, comfortable rooms, free Internet, very good breakfast, modern toilet/shower

Pension Carina Fusson The Castle is covered in scaffolding!!! You can’t see the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” Castle at all! Very easy to find with Garmin sat nav. The good bits: Room 6 was very good. Large room very clean with wonderful view of lake. Double bed with single mattress and quilts, patio outside with chairs, light and table. Large bathroom with shower. Breakfast was ok, usual plus boiled eggs. Coffee good.

The bad bits: Very frosty reception. You need to go into the restaurant to check in. Long form to fill in, when you get it, when reception has finished loading dishwasher and serving coke! Felt like we were invisible, ok she might have been having an off day! Small car park which locals use for restarunt. Up 3 flights of stairs no lift but view was good. No ac which made room quite humid (August) but the main fault was the food. I did not know you could do 20 things with pork! And that’s all that’s on the menu. It’s very good and there’s a lot of it but if you don’t like pork you will need to research other places to eat. Might be an idea to take a thin quilt and pillows as they have a smell of fabric conditioner so didn’t get a great night’s sleep.

We stayed for just one night, but the room was very clean, with a big balcony with lake view. Breakfast was healthy and excellent. We had also dinner at the restaurant, which was very good value for money. Recommended.

Family run Hotel.

On a main road but little remote,close to lake.

This is a delightful B&B, just outside of Fussen. We stayed there after we spent the day touring the castles and wished we would have had more nights at this location. Very clean, friendly & helpful staff, great price, & great location. The breakfast was wonderful!! The best one in our 2 week vacation.

The pillows were too soft -- other than that it was perfect!

The room was lovely and fresh and the location extremely nice.

I had specifically requested a bath tub both through booking. com and directly by email and I do feel that if requests cannot be met customers should be advised as I probably wouldn't have booked. Again the absence of facilities to make a hot drink was very disappointing, this is something quite important to English people and I for one would have been happy to pay a little extra for this facility.

The pension location was excellent ,stunning views. Just a 2 minute walk from the lake with good facillities. The local people swim in the lake from dawn till dusk. Excellent track around the lake for walks and biking.which leads into Fussen ( beautiful town) The room we had was very good. The pension provided good food which we enjoyed ,as did many other people . ( quite popular in the evening).

Easy to find, beautiful location, girl on the first day was helpful. Tourist information right next door although the lady in it didn't speak much English but we managed ok. Some lovely walks. Near enough Fussen and on a direct bus route.

A bit worn looking, grounds and outside could've been made to look really nice. If you're looking for a peaceful time don't book a Saturday as very popular with locals who enjoy a sing song. Didn't go on late though.

The bedding looked old and dirty and the night we stayed the tempeture was in the late 20s, with no fan we nearly cooked also the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned with a dirty stain below the water line and we did not even try the breakfast as nothing was covered leaving swarms of flys to crawl all over the food. All in all it was not as described on there web site and was about 8 kil from the main town of Russen

1. Would only take a Credit Card for the room , only cash for our meals . 2. The Table Cloths were all soiled , they looked like they were a week old .

Excellent location for all major sights such as castles, museums, magnificent scenery, mountain excursions, hiking, jogging, fresh air, etc. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very accomodating. The breakfast was incredible - extensive variety of fresh foods. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. You definitely feel like you are in a beautiful Bavarian environment. Highly recommend this Pension to anyone.

There were 4 of us, mature adults and we loved everything about it. We had 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave.
