Charming stay surrounded by art in an atmosphere of old world elegance. Delightful management and a true sense of being a 'house guest'. A lovely lift from 1911. Good breakfast.
The location of this Hotel was perfect for my purpose. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean, airy and comfortable
The facilities were somewhat dated, an English channel on the very very small TV would have been appreciated as I was travelling alone
everything cold rooms absolutely not worth that money very poor breakfast problems with local calls from the room and reception poor wi-fi
The more intimate feel of this pension. Attentive staff.
You really do have to like the charm of the old elevator
All you could expect from Berlim. Great location, warm reception and beautiful building!
Quiet, right off K'Dam and easy to the tour and city buses. Good fresh Bkfst on top,of it all.
Nothing right now.
good location and old fashioned B&B
Our third stay in 16 years. Relaxed environment and very well situated.
Big problems with the plumbing during our first 18 hours, resolved by a change of room.
Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. They went out of their way to arrange breakfast (cold) for me the night before so I could get an early start. Room was nice and location very handy to shops and transport.
Lack of fridge in the room.
Location, price, cheap breakfast (4e), good room size and look for 3*
Limited reception work hours (and usually no staff there at any time), bunch of keys you need to carry, no cakes and hot meals at breakfast (but fair for its price), no room facilities for 3* (fridge/minibar/climatic/kettle), but also fair for its price
Super friendly and accommodating. Lovely owner and staff. Great location, will definitely go back.
Old German flavor. Personal touch, owner meeting us. Elevator unique.
Bathroom needs updating. A dresser with drawers would have been appreciated. No ice cubes were available.
Extremely friendly and polite staff. Very clean, quite and functional hotel with a great atmosphere due to the old buildings reconstruction. You get more than you pay for.
Actually there is really nothing to complain about for this price level.
The location is perfect - direct at Olivaer Platz, on the Kurfürstendamm, with direct bus connections to Tegel Airport, Charlottenburg Palace and U/S Zoologischer Garten. The hotel is located in an old-fashioned building with same style elevator, which I find very cool. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, they take personal care of the individual needs of their guests, which I mostly like. The room looks very cozy and also very traditional, with utilities from the 70s West-Berlin style. The atmosphere is very romantic and perfect for relaxation. Also the wired internet is a great plus for travelers.

Thea orner Was vers Kindle and helpfully.
The friendliness of the staff The art works on the walls The quirky lift The very convenient loation
The shower. Entering and leaving the shower was quite hazardous as there was a wide step.
A charming, genteel hotel from an earlier era, full of art-work, and with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large, warm and comfortable, and very quiet at night. Location ideal just off Kurfurstendamm for transport and restaurants.
Warm welcome and friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location and value for money.
Nothing at all, considering the location and price.
Charm of the B&B Large room, perfect for 3 Friendliness of the staff
Bathroom was very small and rather cheap-looking
Superb location just off Ku'damm. I like the more personal (and older) hotels like Dittberner. Old fashioned lift, slightly noisy wooden floors. The landlady informed us that the building is 100 years old - sounds very true! Nice enough breakfast. And a good bed. Relaxed atmosphere
Rooms probably a little bit dated. But charming in a way. Felt like early 1980's. What I didn't like was that the morning I left there was only cold water in the shower. Certainly woke me up!
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff quite friendly. The character of the hotel was interesting. It was our third stay there and we consider it good value and v. convenient in a pleasant area.
The breakfast was uninteresting and monotonous tinned fruit and poor quality sausage . The facility to pay with credit card not available and we had to find 1100 euros cash on the last morning before leaving.
Good location, clean, interesting architecture, nice original paintings. Staff was helpful.
We booked 3 rooms, 2 double and a superior single. The double room, that I stayed in, looked identical to the superior single I booked on-line. The single they gave to my friend, was definitely not superior, small room with a separate shower behind a plastic curtain. The hotel had nice rooms, but we got the poor ones.
There's very kind and helpful staff. The hotel's location sufficiently comfortable about shopping, interesting places in the town and main transport points. You can have a great dinner near by the hotel - in Keno - restaurant with tasty dishes and democracy prices. The hotel itself is interesting designed. You can also use the old lift for getting the fourth floor - you feel like you are in the last century.
