Good lokation Big room Good B.F.
The style: a wonderful 1920's feeling. Friendly staff. I arrived very late but could pick up my key at a cafe nearby. Beautiful breakfast room. Superb location, close to the metro and in one of berlin's most upmarket shopping areas.
The single room I had (9) was very small compared to the double rooms, which are huge. My room was next to the kitchen, and with breakfast being served from 07.00, I could hear the walking and sounds.
Cozy, warm, charismatic.
Quaintness of hotel
The whole ambiance. Friendly, homely environment.

I loved the sense of authenticity of the hotel and it;s furnishings. The staff is friendly, kind and professional. I tell all my friends to stay at the Hotel Pension Funk when they come to Berlin
I loved the ambience, staff, generous breakfast and location.
My sister and I highly recommend Hotel Pension Funk. The atmosphere was one of comfort and class. There were fresh flowers, pictures of former film star Asta Nielson and period furniture. Despite three shift changes, the staff were all efficient and helpful in both English and German, accommodating our requests. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. Fresh fruit was always available. Its location was excellent as well, near public transportation, excellent restaurants and shopping.
The breakfast in a beautiful, sun-filled room.
My room must have been all of 7 feet wide, and I could barely walk alongside the bed. Berlin was having a heat wave, and I couldn't get the window to open wide enough to let in more air. The public spaces of Funk are dark, dingy and dirty; the rugs look like they haven't been cleaned in decades. When I checked out 3 days early, the manager penalized me by charging me for an extra night.
