It doesn't look promising from the outside, but is immaculate inside and has everything I needed: bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the proprietor was helpful when I checked in, there were a kettle and a fridge in the kitchen, and a good bus service nearby.
The wifi was erratic, and the curtain could have been more opaque.
I liked the nice quiet neighborhood. The ubahn is within walking distance, like 7 minutes away. I ended up walking to the Pension from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, which took like 25 minutes (it looked closer on the map), but one of the busses from the Hbf stops right in front of the Pension, which is super convenient. No breakfast is included, but there's a cool bakery (turn right as you walk out of the Pension) which has coffee for one euro and tasty bakery things. There's lots of cool places to eat, I had some Chinese on the main road one day, made fresh by a nice couple. There's also a big department store, Karstadt, on the main road. Getting into Berlin is easy, but I also enjoyed hanging out in Wedding (this section of Berlin) with its beer gardens and restaurants. The landlady was super cool and funny and had good tips on where to go and what to do.
It's in a somewhat minority (Turkish) neighborhood, so some of the Turkish men would glare at me ( a lone woman) as I walked by. Not sure what that was all about, but I got distinctly unfriendly vibes...
location, quietness of the surrounding, really helpful owner and stuff (saying some jokes), and clean, lovely room. They even allowed me to leave my luggage until 8 pm because it was monday and the room was free.
Good location, very, very , very clean , silence. The room is very large, moderne.
A little bit problem with Wi-fi.
V clean, orderly, quiet, accessability all good
You can use the kitchen and that was my deciding point while doing my reservation. Some people are saying there was no fridge, but that is not true. Of course, it is not in the heart of the city, but I could walk to all major sights easily (I like walking; I even walked to the pension from Tegel airport). If you don't like walking much, take the S- and U-bahn. The weather was very hot for German standards during my trip, but my room was cool. Altogether, I got what I expected at a great price.
This pension is a bit out of the city centre but it's run by an extremely nice lady who was very helpful and understanding. The apartment came with a kitchen and a fridge to be used and 2 bathrooms. It was clean, rooms and bathrooms seems to have just recently been refurbished and it's great value for money. A bus stop in front of the pension takes you to the main railway station in 10 minutes and the subway is a 15 min walk away.
close to transport nice cafes around
Almost everything: good service, very nice welcominglandlady.
Very few pots and pans at the kitchen, it was impossible to boil 2-3 eggs, for example.
The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom clean. It's definitely worth the price.
Wi-Fi wasn't fast (video was almost impossible, e-mail was okay). The kitchen was smelly.
The atmosphere is nice as it is a sort of family-based pension rather than a hotel or a hostel. The area is very quiet.
It is not a dramatic problem, but one has to be prepared before: there is no stuff there, basically NOBODY. There was someone who received me at the scheduled time of arrival but then he immediately left. Also, the internet connection did not work at all.
Quiet and spacious single room, common room with refrigerator, price.
It didn't smell very nice, no smoke detectors or fire escapes.
The bedroom is bigger than expected. Really comfortable. There is a kitchen where you can cook your meal :)
Although building's outside looks like very old, room and toilet was clean and nice
it is quite far from nearst station. takes 10~15 min walk.
value for money
each of two nights we stayed there, there was a noise from 5:30am, therefore we couldnt sleep, although we were dead tired from walking through the city
Place is close for two mtero station. There was very quiet. Good place for sleeping: cheap and comfortable.
The room is really big, I was expecting something much smaller. It's got is own kitchen, so you can cook your food if you want to save some money, even though there's no fridge.
The heating was not high enough to feel warm at night, however there are some blankets you can use if you're feeling cold
like live at home
location is great but it is little bit hard to find if you want to go there on foot.
