Just a 20-minute walk south of Munich’s main railway station, this guest house enjoys a central location close to an underground stop and the Theresienwiese, venue of the Oktoberfest. The family-run Hotel Pension Schmellergarten provides cosy rooms which have been tastefully furnished. All rooms feature cable TV and a minibar. Guests enjoy complimentary wireless internet access throughout the guest house. Everything was much better than I expected. Actually I didn't expect a lot as the most important point for us was the cost and I just booked one of the cheapest and more or less well located...But that was really a positive surprise! The location is just great, two stops from the very centre but the metro station is just two minutes walk and you can actually walk from the centre as well (about 20 mins). I also really liked the interior of the Pension. Breakfasts were nice. But the greatest point is the staff - a very nice couple who really care about the guests. That's not an overestimation - I would definitely stay at the same hotel if I am in Munich.

cleanness; the couple running the inn are very friendly; the location is in a quite neighborhood and good for resting however close to the metro station; good value for money. walls are not soundproof; heating is not very strong.

The room was very good, the staff was above mu expectations. The pension was very close to octoberfest and the subway. The breakfast was good also

It was clean and big tv and the location is very good. U-bahn is right there at the corner. there is no lift and I think little bit expansive for a pension but Its Munich ,baby!

We chose this hotel for its location - it was quite close to the city center. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The street is very quiet and safe, cheap supermarkets nearby. It was OK in general. The place needs renovation.

Very good location. Near to the center, but very quiet. Staff are nice. Clean. Free Wi-Fi in rooms, microwave & big LCD TV. Refrigerator at the hall. The breakfast was OK. Bicycles can be stored at the stairwell. The bathroom in the room is very small. Very creaky stairs to the second floor.

Not much, some good restaurants and metro stops nearby. Bed too small, room next to stair well and shared toilet. Lucky I needed to be up early, as the whole hotel seemed to start at 6pm, which was very noisy.

The lady was very friendly and helpful. Normally the breakfast starts at 8am, but she agreed to prepare it a bit earlier so I can catch the train on time. The breakfast was simple and got refilled frequently. I especially recommend the coffee machine that offered a range of coffee at the morning time!! It is rather challenging to walk up the stairs with heavy luggage

В принципе чисто, до центра 30 минут пешком. Это турецкий квартал (или многонациональный) куча кафешек, магазинчиков. Но это квартал экономкласса во всем! Очень все старое и дешевое. Полотенца больше похржи на тряпки. Одеяла тонкие, дополнительные одеяла не стирались никогда. Завтрак совсем скудный. Проблема с парковкой во второй половине дня. Надо получать на ресепшн карту для бесплатной парковки, а потом ее возвращать. В номерах дизайна или намека на дизайн нет совсем, очень бесвкусно все.
