Pension Vicus  

Breakfast was good. As usual in Germany served with cold efficiency. We also liked the fact we could stay in a family room.

Very unfriendly welcome. We had emailed at the time of booking, the night before our arrival and on the way that we would be there late. No acknowledgement. Woman at breakfast was as cold as a Bavarian mountain. The owner seems to have put his energies into measuring the water use and temperatures. He needs to learn a bit of bonhomie. Would not stay here again. These people have no idea how to receive guests. Guests are not cows giving milk nor a means to and end. We are the point of it all. Good luck !

Our 3rd floor family room was a bit dark, the beds were a bit hard for the back.

Our third stay at Vicus. Usual warm welcome from helpful staff. Secure storage for bikes. Excellent restaurant within 7 mins walk ( Vicus is in Innstadt , a suburb of Passau).

It was convenient.\ for our purpose.

All good. Very clean room. Staff were very helpful although not too good on us not being able to speak German. No hesitation in going back again. Recommended.

Good continental breakfast in a colourful pop-art inspirated interiour. Very entertaining and a happy start of the day.

It was a good location for us as we were cycling the danube path and it was enroute. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very helpful.Our bikes were locked in a unerground garage over night. The room was clean and the balcony was an added bonus . The style of the hotel reflected the owners taste with bright tasteful arrangements displayed around the office area and the stairs it made you feel welcomed. The breakfast room was bright and the breakfast was good.

Nette ruime en schone kamers

Niet het hotel zelfs maar de afstand naar het centrum van de alt-stad was ver lopen

Leginkább az tetszett, hogy a szállás csendes nyugodt környezetben helyezkedik el, s mégis közel van a városközponthoz. Kb. 15 perces sétával a belvárosban találtuk magunkat. A másik, ami nagyon tetszet, hogy nagyon tiszta, higiénikus volt a szállás.

Az egyetlen, ami kicsit a hátrányára szól, hogy csak du. 15h -tól lehetett elfoglalni a szállást (bár ezt tudtuk előre). Végülis ez sem okozott fennnakadást, mert addig is elfoglaltuk magunkat. Amit még hiányoltam, hogy tányért és poharat csak kaució ellenében biztosítottak, bár volt kis konyhasarok a szobában.

1. Selbst für Gäste, die auf der Durchreise nach Wien waren, war es sehr angenehm, einen kleinen Kühlschrank vorzufinden, in dem der "Reiseproviant" über Nach gekühlt werden konnte. 2. Die farbliche Gestaltung des Zimmers (gelbe Wände, Vorhänge in bleu gehalten, farbige Bettwäsche) waren so ganz anders als das übliche Weiß anderer Häuser. 3. Das Frühstückbüffet mit Leinsamen, Kürbis- und Sonnenblumenkernen gegen den trägen Darm, gerade wenn man auf Reisen ist und viele Stunden im Auto sitzt, war geradezu eine Offenbarung.

Für die Jahreszeit (April) fanden wir die Zudecke etwas zu dünn. Da wir gern kühl schlafen, uns dafür aber etwas dicker zudecken, hatten wir nur die Möglichkeit, die Heizung laufen zu lassen und das Fenster zu kippen, um frische Luft zu bekommen, oder sich mit warmer Kleidung ins Bett zu legen. Wir haben uns für die erste Variante entschieden. Unser Rat: Gleich bei der Ankunft einen Blick aufs Bett riskieren und notfalls um dickeres Bettzeug oder um eine Decke bitten.
