This guest house offers cozy rooms, a friendly atmosphere and a tranquil environment. It is located just 33 yards from the Rhine River, in the heart of the medieval town of Boppard. The Pension bei Schinderhannes und Julchen is close to all main attractions in Boppard. These include the Alte Burg (old castle), St. Severus church and the historic town walls. The free buffet breakfast includes homemade bread, marmalade, yogurt and pastries. These are available in the separate breakfast room or in the inner courtyard of the Pension bei Schinderhannes und Julchen. The guest house also has a cozy TV lounge. The traditional vaulted wine cellar is available for wine tasting and other events. Bicycles are available for rent; there is also storage space for bicycles and motorbikes. Boppard Süd train station is just a 2 minute walk from the Pension Schinderhannes. The guest house can organize a shuttle service (for an extra cost) from Frankfurt-Hahn airport. We only required the hotel as an overnight stop en-route to further destination, but it is situated only a short distance from the Rhine, therefore excellent for anyone who had the time to explore the river and surroundings. Very good breakfast. Our room was clean. However, the decor and facilities are very tired and dated and need refurbishment - guests expect more these days. No parking on-site - we managed to find a free overnight space nearby but this could be a problem if you were there during the day and it would no longer be free.

Nice, ve-ery quiet family-run hotel in the heart of the town near the Rhine. We booked double room, but got 2-room apartments with fully equipped kitchen. The owner helped us to park our car in 10 meters from the hotel. Breakfast was really excellent for 3-star hotel. Very friendly staff. It's a bit tricky to maintain constant temperature of the water in the bathroom.It could be difficult to find free parking place right near the hotel - but we were lucky :) Nevertheless, I think you always find a place within 200-300 M.

Der Empfang war herzlich und persönlich. Anstelle eines Doppelbetts mit Zustellbett wurde uns eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und gemütlich. Wer von Boppard aus einige Ausflüge in den Hunsrück oder am Rhein entlang machen möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Die Pension ist bodenständig und unprätentiös, die Betreuung dabei persönlich und herzlich.

vriendelijke gemoedelijke sfeer,zeer verzorgd ontbijbuffet, ligging vlakbij de Rijn, zelfs Rijnuitzicht vanuit onze kamer helaas aparte bedden terwijl we een 2-persoonskamer hadden gereserveerd.zeer rumoerig s'avonds en s'nachts door kroeggeluiden en voorbijgangers

Eine sehr gute angenehme auch persönliche Betreuung. Das Frühstücksangebot übertrifft alles bisher erlebte. Inhaber beantworten alle Fragen kompetent. Betreiber sind mit Hrz und Seele Gastgeber.

Es ist keine Luxusherberge, aber für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise immer zu empfehlen. Man wird freundlich empfangen und bekommt ein grossartiges Frühstück.

Sehr herzliche Aufnahme durch die Gatgeber. Sehr reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Aufenthaltsräume drinnen und draußen gemütlich. Der Lärm durch die Bahn ist Tag und Nacht enorm, die übliche Problematik am Rhein: Fenster auf = frische Luft, Fenster zu: der Lärm ist auszuhalten.
