This hotel is in a great location...just a few blocks from the Kurfürstendamm and a U-Bahn station. We drove to Berlin by car and the hotel had easy freeway access. There are a number of good restaurants in the area with reasonable prices. The rooms is clean and spacious and are cleaned every day. We arrived earlier than anticipated, but the staff went out of their way to get us checked in. We were also provided with a parking permit, which allowed us to park right across the narrow street from the hotel entrance. We like to stay in neighborhoods rather than in busy city centers, and this hotel really met our expectations. The Internet connection and speed were good.
5 min to go to Kurfurstendamm. Lots of restaurants in the neighberhood.
Good breakfast and plenty of it, comfortable bed, big spacious room, staff friendly, quiet residential location but near Kurfurstendamm Str. and reasonably priced. You can walk to Savigny Platz or Uhlandstrasse for downtown trains which are quick and frequent.
No tea/coffee making facilities in room but not many Berlin hotels have this.
Location is close to the transport options to the main sights.Close to the Kü'damm let to have many shopping option.Breakfast sufficient rooms comfortable
just a little bit noisy because of the constructions fot the other aparments in the same building but that does not disturb much
-wifi didn't work for the first 3 days. it started to work on the last day. -no english speaker on the reception -heating system didn't work at all. got a little bit cold.
Good breakfasts. Reasonably close to public transport. Nice area of Berlin in which to spend a few nights and plenty of choice of eateries in close proximity. On a budget, probably difficult to beat for value in this part of the city.
Rather basic facilities and a tiny lift to upper floor rooms. Renovations on rooms adjacent to those being rented out.(Probably means that standard of accommodation will improve over time?). Building didn't seem entirely secure.
The hotel was closed (the flat was under a construction) but the transfer to another Hotel Pension ('Bella') was organized. The Bella was worth of a price, indeed. The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast excellent (as it usually is in Berlin, especially in 'Russian speaking places')
Well, the email was invented some time ago; why not to inform customers about the change of hotels?!
Nice and quiet area. Close to S-Bahn. The staff that waited hours for us to arrive after a train delay. Excellent breakfast.
No mattress on top of the bed base (as in most hotels).
Great location in City West, full of good restaurants, bars & kneipen. The hotel itself is quite clean and for good price, but little bit poor - not for much expecting travellers. For get some sleep and having good position for visit the city, good enough.
I especially liked the location: very close to one of the most important streets of Berlin and to many attractions but also in a quite elegant area. I also enjoyed the classic beauty of the house/pension, the feeling of independence (keeping the keys, not having to report to reception, in and out like from your own flat), and the general cleaness and tidiness.
I didn't like the breakfast much: horrible coffee (I drank much better coffee in Muenchen), not much of a choice esp. for people with a sweet tooth like me. Not much generous quantity/quality/variety. I wish for ex they had at least one cake as I love German cakes!
The location in Berlin was amazing. Right next to the bigger street and great coffee places. The room was sufficient for 4 people but I would recommend bringing your own bedding/blankets. The staff was amazingly friendly and delightful to be around.
Blankets felt dirty and during our stay there was construction.
room large , & breakfast excellent - staff very helpfull
The staff were friendly and the hotel was well run. I didn't have any trouble. The location was in a quiet neighborhood not far from a main street.
The only good thing about this pansion is its location, though it might be quite a trip to the nearest metro station if you have a heavy suitcase.
Everything else is awful. Trust me, you don't want to stay at this pansion if you travel alone: you would be given the smallest room imaginable with a tiny toilet attached and a shower which is literally located in the room, at the very feet of your bed. There is no room to put your suitcase and no soundproofing at all, so you can hear perfectly clear how other guests use toilets and flush. I don't really understand how such a tiny room could be a pension room - I would call it a closet, but not a room. There are a lot of offers for the same price, but much better rooms. Never stay at this pension. It's not worth it.
Very nice residential neighborhood Complete Privacy Additional access from courtyard Very well appointed rooms No fuss check-in & check-out 20 mins drive from TEGEL airport Very good value for money

Sehr gutes Frühstück und ruhige Lage.
Friendly staff, we asked for three separate beds and that was arranged in a lovely room. Perfect location. Great breakfast
We got two fines for parking the wrong way around!
The breakfast buffet was good and the staff were friendly.
My room was very small, and looked like a student room. I had no hot drinks facilities which I think had been promised for the hotel. I also had to persuade the staff that I had already paid for the room, as they wanted me to pay again and had to phone someone to check.
Far from the metro station specially if you are carrying a heavy suitcase.
The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was balanced. Area isbgood and close to transport services and convenience stores
The room I stayed in was really small
1.nice location, near KuDamm. 2. good breakfast 3. spacious room the high ceiling and separate bath and toilette. We ordered 2 single rooms but I lived in a room for 2 persons -it was cute. My friend lived in a single room and it looked like a prison: too small room, but large bath.
1. very poor WiFi (especially 3rd floor). At the end we couldn't use it in the rooms and had to go to the receiption. 2. German hostess served very poor breakfast, but Russian one did it with russian hospitality.
Excellent location, close to a big shopping area and near public transport, lots of restaurants to choose from but still very quiet and clean place to stay with friendly staff despite the language barrier.
The bed linen had a couple of holes in it. It didn't bother me but it's not a hotel with a person on reception 24/7.
I like the atmosphere in the hotel, nice people on the reception. Breakfast is very good. Location is perfect. Really had a great stay there. My best recommendations.
Just 5 min walk from Ku´damm, but located in a very quiet street. Clean and cosy room, fine breakfast.
Thin walls, wi-fi connection doesn´t work properly in all rooms (including mine). Actually, Hotel Garni Kleist is not a "typical" hotel with 24h. reception but kind of family run hostel.
the breakfast was the same every day
