Great breakfast

Friendly & competent staff; Pentahotel characteristic combination entrance (reception, bar, lounge); Room design; good firm bed; nice pillows (small & large); bathroom with bathtub.

Small (short depth) working desk, desk chari (nice design but not suitable for sitting & working at the desk).

Great atmosphere, cool bar and pool lounge and super friendly staff.

good location for traveling (just behind bahnhof Wilhelmshoehe), hotel condition worths the price. no major drawbacks during winter time.

the noise from railway might be a issue for summer time.

The staff were friendly but not overbearing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The toilitries were a nice touch (not the usual run of the mill).

we were attending documenta 13. using trams easily was A plus getting to and from frankfurt ) by train) and into heart of kassel city was easy and fun on the tram. we liked its modernity & good design and the scale of hotel was A plus. room was small , but comfortable. breakfast nice and lobby /bar/, restaurant as central to hotel ambiance was great. the gym was really fun and interesting even if we didnot use it. others would of A younger age. I would recommend it. food could be better and more diverse .

Wonderful, helpful staff. Great location for connecting to local transportation. Complimentary tram/bus passes. Really appreciated the built in ac adapter in the room. We were visiting Kassel for Documenta13. Location made accessing the various venues a breeze.

We liked being near the banhof and having neighborhood cafes and restaurants nearby. Someone who desired a quiet venue probably should choose a different area of Kassel to stay in.

We thought the hotel was excellent and the staff were sincere, friendly and helpful. Our stay at the Kassel Penta was absolutely trouble free.

As noted above, staying at the Kassel Penta was a pleasure and the only suggestion we would make is that the hotel also offer at least one newspaper from the Uk. There were English language newspapers available but they were from the United States of America.

Staff: friendly and efficient. How it's been spruced up to a designy type of hotel.

Towels aren't good enough for the hotel category. Wifi and computer charges are outrageous in this day and age, and especially considering the room prices charged.

Location nearby the train station. Parking available but not free of charge.

The room price was high versus the location out of the center of the city. The art event Documenta13 was still in Kassel during our stay and thus demand was perhaps high versus offer.

Very good hotel, very close to the train station (not the main one but with frequent trains to the main station), staff was very friendly. The bar on the reception floor is also very nice and you can have dinner there. Very good price for money and worth stay for documenta (13).

The only problem of the hotel is that it doesn't have air conditioning on the rooms so at night the rooms get really warm.

loved the design, modern, trendy and quirky, visually very pleasing eg the lift has a silver lizard and a pair of old jeans on the wall as decoration, the recption is also the bar etc. Breakfast buffet excellent, great variety and again great presentation. Rooms same trendy decor, except bathroom, very clean and ample space. Location excellent, 2 mins from tram stop and then 5-8 mins to city centre and we even got free tram passes from the hotel.

Very close to the train station.

Far away of the center of the city (13 euros by cab); decoration of very, very bad taste; the door of my room stayed unlocked during about 11 hours because of the lack of attention of the room cleaning service; old carpet on the floor.

There was a good balance of quirky and luxury, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were wonderful. I also liked the proximity to the station Kassel Wilhelmsoe, it felt like a safe and convenient spot.

Very nice package for documenta!!!

Comfortable beds & pillows. An English language film channel & bbc world news were an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was very good. Free transport & Documenta tickets were also a nice touch.

I booked a double room well in advance. When we checked in I was not informed that they had given us a twin room. When I discovered two single beds I requested the double I had booked. I was told there are no available doubles full stop. No apology. Very disappointing. In addition, although the hotel is non-smoking, there was a strong smell of smoke in our room. We kept the widow open but again, disappointing.

The entry area includes the bar and the breakfast/dinner/lounge area plus terrace and that is perfectly designed. Very pleasant. Staff in the bar and during breakfast and dinner very nice, fast service and personal touch. Location close to tram/trainstation/shoppingcentre Wilhelmshohe (2 minutes walk) is perfect with smooth connections by various tramlines.

Apart from bar/ restaurant and rooms, facilities are poor. Sauna worked for 2 days and then broke down. Price we paid was quite high (109 euro plus breakfast 2x17 makes 143, maybe due to Documenta in Kassel.
