Platzl Hotel (Superior)  

Location is perfect to walk to everything in Marienplatz area. Staff were very attentive, helpful, and spoke excellent English. Hotel was clean and modernized but the decor was traditional Bavarian and lovely.

Everything. An excellent hotel with a great staff and a location that would be hard to beat. The staff was the best of any hotel we stayed at during our vacation. The room was functional and nice.

Location is great for shopping, but also for sightseeing. There lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Staff, especially reception staff, were extremely friendly.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The room was spacious with a big bed. There were lots of pillows on the bed which was a plus. Michael in the bar was awesome and great to talk to.

The price to park our vehicle was 19 euro a night which is ridiculous considering the price for the hotel room.

One of the best beers in Bavaria - Ayingers, try it in the restaurant right in front of HBH. Breakfast good, with champagne and white sausages available.

Excellent location in the center of the city, close to the places of cultural attraction and the main shopping area. Nice rooms, welcoming staff. Very good value for money.

The breakfast could be a bit improved.

Reception staff and breakfast experience

The barman was rude, arrogant and unpleasant. I ordered room service at the recption - a cup of tea for my wife to drink in bed. She then decided to drink it in the lounge and we sat down in the reception seating lounge. The barman came out of the bar and asked for an order. I explained I had ordered at tea at reception. He said you cant do that "I look after orders downstairs", I asked him to check with reception, just 5 metres away, he said " You do it, I dont have the time" and walked away - there was one person sitting at his bar who then left- by the way, I speak fluent german - his attitude incensed me

Thought that the friendliness and willingness of the staff was the true value of the hotel. They made the stay. The breakfast was pure pleasure..

I have stayed at more and less luxurious hotels in Munic ,but Platzl is the best choice I can think of in the Bavarian Capital !
