Location was great.Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Room we had was very small.Too small for comfort. The scrambled egg served at breakfast was invariably cold.
I paid 49 EUR for single room incl. breakfast. I asked for a quiet room on high floor in booking.com reservation, and this is what I got. Though the room is tiny, it was perfect for 1 overnight stay. It is clean. The breakfast is excellent.
I expected very bad hotel based on the reviews so it was a pleasant surprise. Book it if you want close to railway hotel and you do not want to spend time in your room, just to sleep (as I did).
Just opposite to Hauptbahnhof. Wifi is excellent with good speed, breakfast fairly good with quite good range, Bathroom seems bigger than bed room, the price I paid is quite cheap for their facilities.
Room is very small that it is difficult to keep your luggage and move around. I asked for 12 noon check out and the lady said OK. But then at 11, she called me asking to leave the room as they want to clean. Then I had to check out at that time itself.
Location very good, breakfast good, staff friendly, little bit old
Attitude of desk clerk, would not keep luggage for us. Room was really so-so at best. Crowded, no chairs.
Attitude by some staff
This hotel is conveniently situfted across the road from the station. Undercover parking is close by and a ten minute walk takes you into the city centre. Rooms are small and dated. Bathrooms are very dated. Breakfast is adequate. Fine for a quick one or two night stop over. Our stay was quite comfortable. They have a good pizza restaurant.
The street around the corner is a bit of a bad area.watch out for that. We did not feel so safe.
The location is very good Breakfast prety good
Room was very small Not worth for paid rate
Great Location and match the price
The quality of the accommodation did not correspond to the price at all!!! For more than 100 Eur per night, I got a supertiny room with old and ugly furniture with not enough space for my things, the overall level of cleaniness was rather poor. The halls stank and the security was not good, either - the main entrance was not locked, anyone could enter the hotel, the reception was only open till 10 pm. I was so horrified I had to leave after one night, even though they charged me fully for the next night and 90% for the other two!!! - very bad cancellation policy.
Very good location, friendly people, tasty breakfast and comfortable accommodation; ))
The Wi-Fi could work better, was difficult to connect and no signal
Location of the hotel is the only "plus" I can state.
Quality of the rooms, toilets, breakfast, value for money - Nothing is great in this hotel.
the restaurant- very friendly staff and good food the location-just in front of the central station
very small room no heat- i got sick very noisy I don't imagine something worse
I am actually staring at my screen trying to think of a positive, but I CAN'T FIND EVEN ONE! Maybe the only plus is the location of the place - no more.
Rooms: small and extremely noisy, hot, no air conditioning, dusty, smell weird, the power sockets didn't work, the phones in the rooms are useless. Staff: incompetent and unpleasant, barely spoke any English Breakfast: Not worth the money We stayed there for four nights and barely got any sleep. They should not be called "hotel" at all. I am sure there are better hostels in the area for much better price. I would never recommend the place and will advice everyone I know to not set foot in the brand "Centro". The info in booking.com is a bit misleading; it looks like the place has three stars when in fact they do not deserve even one.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, fab location.
Rooms are a bit small, no ventilation in bathrooms.
no safe in room
Clean room and good location
Room is too small , bed is not comfortable.
My wife and I visited the Centro Hotel in Hamburg, while we were passing through northern Germany. DON’T EVER GO THERE! Centro Hotel Hamburg greeted us by blocking the entrance. It was a hot sunny day in August, so the more tables they could masse in the pavement front of the restaurant, the better. If by so doing one impedes guests with suitcases entering the hotel – well, that’s life. At the reception we were told that parking in the nearby parking house, would cost 8 Euros per day. I duly went, parked and returned to the room, as my wife had undertaken to unpack. As I got back I noticed a sign informing that the receptionist had gone to tend to the reception of another hotel nearby, and in case one needed him, an route of how to get there had been drawn. How easy life would have been, had the poor guy not had any guests, He would have been spared the nuisance of drawing up the map. And what a room we got! We had reserved a double room, but perhaps as a bonus we got a triple. We immediately felt the nostalgia of our dormitory days. Not just owing to the extra bed, but also to the standard of tidiness, and the overall shabby condition of the inventory. This level of standard was avidly pursued with the greatest of zeal next morning in the restaurant. The waitress just slammed a greasy, filthy tray on top of the pile of clean tellers. Yeark!!!. Even on the brightest of mornings the atmosphere was dim owing to the overall brown nuances of what was left of tapestry and paint. The buffet was sub standard, all though the content of a catering pack is always clean, which might not necessarily always apply to the outside of it. After the meal, I went to the parking house, only to discover that the charge was not 8 Euros, but 13. I was explained by a patient gentleman that the parking house repeatedly informed the hotels nearby that in order to obtain the rate of 8 Euros per day, one had to pay in advance.
Staff was friendly!
There was no WIFI in my room, and also in the first floor (there is no reception area but rather a reception point) it did not work. I had internet only for 3 min in total after relentlessly trying to get connected. The room was too small, and walls were thick.
The staff at the front desk was extremely nice and cooparative. The hotel is located right in front of the central train station, which made it very easy to get out of the area of the hotel (which was kind of run-down) to reach all the places in the city quite quickly. The room was fairly clean.
Our room was a tuna can. There was barely any room to walk around the bed. We couldn´t sleep with the window open because there was a constant, fairly loud noise comming in from the Patio (our room wasn´t even on the side of the busy street right in front of the Hotel.) The breakfast buffet was disappointing. Very small variety of food to choose from, and the most of it was greasy. Even though it was a plus that the hotel was right in front of the central station, the area behind the hotel was rather run-down and uncomfortable to stay at.
super convenient location
If sleeping is important to you then don't stay here.... You have to squeeze through people at the restaurant below to get in and out of the hotel, which was such a pain. The wifi was temperamental and the breakfast was average.
convenient just next to HB station. Good transport from road outside .....bus and metro. The restaurant was good cheap food. People were nice.
the room was small
only positive thing about the hotel was the location, which was in front of central station ( Hauptbahnhof).
small, noise, smelly room breakfast wasnt good at all ( coffee was horrible)
