When I first entered the main lobby I got good feeling about the hotel. Nice decoration and good looking lobby bar. Rooms are very tiny and cramped. Beds are somewhat mediocre but pillows and blankets were probably the worst I've ever used. There's also railroad just few meters away with passenger train going past every 30 min. It might keep you up all night. I simply cannot recommend this to anyone. Possibly the worst hotel I've ever been. Steer clear of this one.

The location is perfect if you are visiting the fair in Cologne. Breakfast is good and the room in comfortable. The sound proofing windows do work so no need to be afraid of booking this hotel because is besides a railway. So, they call the place Hotel Bar Ayun, the problem is that the bar does not have ice, the barman does not know what a Campari Soda is, and doesn't have a clue how to prepare and serve anything other than beer. If you would like to have a drink after the fair go somewhere else before you go back to bed. Taxi from the hotel to downtown is about 10 to 15 euros depending on location and traffic.

Dont let the outside be your first impressions as you walk throught the door it has a modern fresh up market feel to the public areas. I know its an individuals opinion but the bed was far far to spongy that made it difficult to get up from, but others may like this type of bed... Do not arrive early when it says 3pm it means 3pm....

The modern design. It was 80+ degrees out the weekend I stayed and there was no air conditioning. It made it rather hot in the rooms. Some fans would have been fine, just to circulate the air. Other than that, it was great.

Stayed here because it was right down the street from Kolnmesse. The staff was nice, and the beds are super soft. I really only slept in the room and ate breakfast, but it I think for the location, its a good value for the money, being about a 10 minute walk from the convention center.

Friendly staff. Clean. Within walking distance from the city centre. I will most likely stay there the next time too. Would like to have a minibar or cooler on the room, especially since my friend needs to keep her insulin cool. Oh and please fix the faulty temperature knob in the shower ;)

Good hotel, good ratio between price and quality. Good breakfest, not big but good. Room was nice, but showed some small damage on the walls, and the bed cover had a burn mark. But overall it was good.

The food at breakfast was nice. Staff were courteous. What we didn't like is on the description of the Hotel it said it was within 15minutes of the Lanxess Arena where as in reality it wasn't! we had to take a taxi there! Which was a 10minute drive so we wasn't impressed with that at all! I ordered a double room and got a twin room.
