Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean and breakfast was good.

The parking was dicey. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe and could not take the chance of damaging my care. The entrance and turn were too narrow.

The location is in the middle of the town though the town itself is not a big one.

The receptionist we met on the first day that we wanted to check in is far from what they claimed as a 4-star hotel. (the girl with short and blond hair color). We arrived a bit early before the check in time, and we wanted to just leave the luggage and go up to Zugspitze, she said nothing only we can't get the checked-in and I wanted to explain her that I just want to leave the luggage in the luggage room, we will come back and check in later. She didn't even pay attention to what I said. Moreover, on the day we left, we got to meet her again, after paying the hotel bill, I didn't hear even "thank you" from this girl.

Location is good, which is only 3 min walk from train station. A balcony is with our room and it is really lovely. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was very close to the train station and within walking distance of the pedestrian center of town. Very nice breakfast buffet.

staff attitude, unable to respond to requests, asked for a quiet non smoking room, got a smoking room right on the road (very noisey), asked to be changed but could not because said no rooms available, yet rooms were advertised as available up the front of hotel. Was supposed to get a tourist card, only found out when I went to the tourist centre and they called hotel, hotel said that it was waiting for me at hotel, it was not and had to be applied for, was not told and got it the day before I left. Ended up paying for a lot of travel that I could have got for free with the card. Laundry was expensive at 57 Euros for minimal amount, not told upfront.

I spent four days at the Quality Hotel Koenigshof with my husband for a mini winter holiday. The hotel is V. conveniently located at a short walk from both Garmisch and Partenkirchen centres and just across the road from the railway station. It has a covered car park but guests are charged 10 euros a day for it. Rooms are clean but small; the breakfast buffet is rich and good quality (with freshly squeezed orange juice). We had dinner once at the hotel restaurant and it was ok and reasonably priced.

The positive aspects above make the hotel a good 3 star, not a four star: there's no fridge in the room, the sauna is very tiny (with only two chairs in the relaxing area!) and -despite what advertised - the wifi connection does not work. We complained about the latter point and had the impression that the staff was used to this sort of complaints (I must grant them that they offered us a small discount as a compensation). The staff is generally nice but uninterested. Had it cost 50 euros a day less, it would have been a good deal; but at 160 euros per night I would have expected a better service.

Location, as it is near the train station and town. They advertised free wi-fi whch is important for me as I am an Entrepreneur, I need to work even though I am on holiday but I felt cheated because there was no such thing as free wi-fi in the whole hotel especially the rooms.

1) Nothing in the room, not even a shower cap 2) Pillow and bed is bad. After returning to Singapore, I have to visit my Chiropractor. 3) Reception staffs very moody, no motivation to work. They are unfriendly and unknowledgeable about Garmisch, not willing to sell Garmisch. 4) When enquired about the $20euro dinner/pax, reception staff just replied back immediately restaurant fully booked no more. But when I called restaurant to reserve and went there for dinner, it was not even half filled. Don't advertise the $20euro dinner/pax if you do not offer. 5) Dinner was bad, the beef steak even though medium-rare was tough, beef goulash was so salty. 6) Breakfast so-so. 7) In the room no kettle to boil water, no coffee or tea satchets, no drinking water provided. We were not allowed to fill our water bottle during breakfast but others were allowed to fill their flask with hot water, doesn't make sense. 8) Advertise free wi-fi but only the restaurant area has. When asked about the free wi-fi, they said due to high traffic use so got to wait. First night I woke up every hour trying to connect because I need to connect with office, it cannot be connected at all. When I went to the lobby to do some office work and request for wi-fi, they told me to wait for 10 minutes. What is the rationale? Anyway, after 10 minutes also cannot connect. I have to sit outside the restaurant to get a connection and it was so so slow. Why advertise free wi-fi for everywhere in the hotel when it was not at all?

Small rooms

The rooms were clean and everyday we had new towels and good room service. Breakfast was not too bad, even if there was npt much choice of sweet food. The location ws nice, with beautiful view of the mountains and noce restaurants nearby.

Wi-fi was never available because either broken or even when working it was impossible to connect (they said because too many people tried) but that was really inconvinient for my job. The restaurant for dinner had not a fix price like they said but you would pay a la carte and the choice of food was not that good. We had to park the car in the garage pf the hotel and were charges 10€ per day which is quite a lot.

Breakfast is great. We've been here in January and we came back as this is very nicly located and comfortable hotel. Rooms are rather small but beds are very comfy. I don't know if its GaPa or Quality hotel but again we loved our stay and we will definatelly come back to this hotel.

Nothing to complain about. We couldn't get a room before 15.00 and I know that this is according to Hotel Policy but as it was low season and not many guest arrived it was just hard for me to believe that there are none. Aside from that, perfect stay!

Room old and worn. Curtains once white are brown. Shower water temperature fluctuates. Not cozy. Reservation not found. My friends had a newer room, but still old looking with the bed up against the wall. Twin rooms the same size as single. On a loud four-lane road with fast traffic on the doorstep and then a tunnel under the train tracks. Not romantic.
