Best Western Queens Hotel Baden-Baden (Superior)  

No free wireless

The staff were great. They were always professional, kind and helpful. Our dog stayed with us and we never felt he was a problem for the hotel. We were especially impressed with the level of professionalism related to the waitressing staff. They were extremely well-trained. We were impressed that the salon/spa was open on Christmas day and they were also very professional and accomodating. The room was good, with a balcony, but the cable tv was not impressive. Wifi access was quite frustrating, due to the fact that we had to enter in codes for every hour we needed access. It would be a great benefit to the hotel to make internet access invisible for those staying at the hotel. In the end, the people who work at the hotel, especially those who do the harder, service-oriented jobs, made all the difference in our experience. Thanks to them.

Comfort of rooms

It is nowhere near Lichtaler Allee,which it claims in the hotel information

Spacious room, clean and well prepared. Good mattress and possibility to choose different types of pillows. Very good breakfast (though expensive, not included in the room rate) and nice pool, Jacuzzi and parking slot.

There are details which (appart from the negative value for money ratio) I would not expect in such a hotel: WIFI had to be requested at the reception's desk and you only receive the number of hours you request. There is no request limit but why on earth do they give you a paper with a password every single time you get one hour (and we requested five of them). This does not make sense at all (if WIFI is free, what do you need a paper for?) and is not ecologic either. On the other hand, we used the mouth wash solution (a 10 ml bottle) and left it empty on the toilet, same thing for the hair conditioner. None of them were replaced again, which is unacceptable for the price you pay. Room service asked us every day if they could clean the room, even though we had the "Do not disturb" shield at the door (they even phoned us!). Not a bad hotel, but definitively not a place to repeat.

I thought the breakfast was included as it is with most BW's. So, I was disappointed at check out to learn this was not included. Wifi is included, but only in 60 min blocks of time. If you are working and lose access to wifi after 60 min it is frustrating to need to enter a new code so often.

The hotel it is only 10 min walking from the center of the city. Very nice location indeed.

The balconies from the 4th floor are not foreseen with roof ... therefore when it is raining you could not enjoy the view from the balcony, you cannot seat there ... I would have loved to do that.

We were kindly upgraded to a junior suite on the fifth floor. Hotel is in a very quiet residential location. Parking on-site with special parking for ladies. Large spa and fitness area with huge pool. Breakfast excellent, restaurant also good but we were the only customer.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war klasse, besonders die Möglichkeit des coffe to go. Schwimmbad, Sauna und Fitnessraum haben wir gerne genutzt.

Die gute Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut und abwechslungsreich. Die ruhige Lage in Parknähe und Parkmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls Vorteile.

Wellness-Bereich, Sauna, Dampfbad. Zimmer war gemütlich und schön gross

Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir von der Reception sehr schlecht oder überhaupt nicht orientiert. Wie Z.B.dass es ein Kosmetikstudio hat und das der Eingang vom Schwimmbad aus möglich ist. Dass wir durch unsere Buchung die Minibar gratis benutzen könnten. Dass Bademantel und Schuhe im Zimmer sind. Kurz uns fehlten die Allgemeinen informationen wenn man neu in einem Hotel ist. Bei der Abreise war eine kompetente Fachperson anwesend die mit uns ein Feedback machte.
