Quentin Design Hotel Berlin    

Perfect location for (gay) bars and restaurants, and the tube station at Nollendorfplatz will take you anywhere. New wooden flooring has replaced tired cream carpets, and reception staff helpful as ever.

Breakfast could still be better, and I wish the lounge area could have a bit more life....

Location - quiet and close to transport links.

Staff were average

Stayed here 3 times and it's a great hotel and good value. Slightly smaller room this time but very clean and comfortable. Will stay here next time too.

WIFI is not really working properly.

staff goes out of their way to make sure all is right. i needed a cab today to go round trip to a pharmacy since the local one was closed, the receptionist, who had called the cab, went into the street and made sure the cab driver knew to wait .. this is one of many

non smoking hotel which is great but they have these ashtry, trash containers in the hallway which gives some guests 'permission' to smoke altho it is prohibiited .. why? breakfasts at these places are marginal. around the corner a nice market where quiche and coffee breads available

Location. The room was clean, the staff nice.

The room was extremely small. The big bed took up 90% of the room's area. Unacceptable for a 4* hotel. Bathroom - tiny, after a short shower everything becomes wet. Dark room, not enough natural and artificial light. Would not recommend this hotel due to claustrophobic issues. Horribly simple breakfast.

The painting on the wall without eyes - I just dont get it I had backache sleeping on the mattress - they should rotate the mattress since the top part has become soft after so long while the bottom part of the bed is still ok though it's a cheap mattress overall...i was sleeping on the floor the whole time. Chinese doesn't like to have the bed facing the mirror....

Good hotel with very efficient and responsive staff. Well designed room

It is a little tatty around the edges throughout the hotel. This doesnt impact the saty at all, but the hotel hasn't weathered particulary well.

The bed was nice, and the room looked freshly renovated.

First of all, when you shower the whole bathroom floor gets wet. There needs to be an edge between the shower section and the bathroom. This I can live with, but it's not ideal. Secondly, a more serious complaint. A pair of brand new Wolford stay-ups that I bought at KaDeWe were missing when I was packing to leave. I searched everywhere - and ended up finding an old condom under the bed. I realize that people have sex in hotel rooms, but in a four star hotel I expect them to clean the rooms properly so I don't have to be bluntly reminded of it. I took a photo on my blackberry. My third complaint: when I mentioned the condom and my missing stockings to the receptionist all she said was "I'm sorry. Did you take anything from the minibar?" No compensation, nothing. Very bad customer service.

Was very near shopping area (10 minutes walking to KaDEWe). Room was spacious, we had a room for 3 persons.

Room was in the basement near next to the kitchen, no view from the windows, if you open it you smell the smoke of people smoking out side. The decoration of paintings was kind of spooky. The door of the bathroom could not be closed. Television was outdated. The room temperature was very high (25 degrees) and could not be lowered during the evening which make it a sauna.

This hotel was amazing. Everything was spot on. Breakfast was basic but everything else was amazing. Very impressed all round and the hotel made the trip.

The employees were very friendly.

I was a bit worried after reading all those quite bad reviews about Quentin Design Hotel... Turned out we had a great time there, the atmosphere really is great, the staff was always lovely and polite, a lovely room, the bathroom better than I expected. Now sure there are things that might need some improvement, but what hotel doesn't need it?

Let's see... You see, there's nothing terrible in this hotel, but if I had to mention something, I'd take what the reviews used to say before I even went there. Sure, the carpet is a bit old, it does have some stains, nothing to complain about though! We could sometimes hear the doors slamming outside in the corridor, but I think it's more related to the people than to the hotel. The breakfast could be better, sure it's not worth the price they ask for it, but it's free service, and it still is better than trying to find a place to breakfast at 8 in the morning when you have to leave for an appointment.

Carpets need a deep clean.

We took a standard 1st floor room, the price was excellent and the room was very comfortable and luxurious. Very close to the one of the main shopping streets with KaDeWe and also the Zoo and Bauhaus. The local u-bahn station Nollendorfplatz has good lines running direct to the main stations like Alexanderplatz etc. We were quite happy with the comfort and facilities.

Reception is not the friendliest in the world, particularly when I had an inquiry regards Wifi connectivity, however I would not let this put me off. The district itself is safe and clean but a little sleazy and with a lack of bars/ nightlife for non-gay. Not a very central location.

Location, reception staff, overall feel - good value for money

For the first time I had one of the showers that flood the bathroom - room 207 - avoid! I could have changed and if I had stayed longer than two nights I would have. It tools three towels to soak up, but reception staff were great. There are a few other rooms that have the same problem - beware!

Breakfast always tuns out and it's extremely simple.

Very close to gay areas, main shopping street, park, zoo and brandenburg gate. Easy access to U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Taxi to tegel only Euro16.
