Nice staff and garden in the back
Doors of the rooms are quite heavy and none of the guest care about closing them carefully. So you are awake early thanks to the loud banging. Also most of the rooms are quite small and there are no chairs or tables only a bed.
I chose the room because of the price as it was one of the smaller rooms but still was able to provide a full bathtub. Room design has been used really well for a small space. Was able to check in early so did not have to wait until 2pm. I have stayed here before and always like their service. Also has a nice lobby space to hang out in with comfy chairs and tables.
Comfortable bed, quiet location, close to metro, cafe and bio market nearby
Noisy doors to stairs, my room was right next to a staircase, impossible to sleep after 9 am. Shower doesn't have good water drain, hence water ends up all over bathroom floor. Staff is not super pleasant but ok.
nice neighbourhood, good price/quality, perfect central location, homey atmosphere, good enough breakfast
loud banging doors early morning, slow reception desk after midnight
Great location, good price, comfortable, clean room, nice breakfast.
- Location - Spacious room (luxury double room, heard other rooms can be tiny) - Nicey decorted rooms
-Noise from street (late night and early mornings) -Some staff not so friendly/service minded (some really nice however) - Cleaning of room substandard
The location is very good
very small bathrooms and very difficult to use. very poor breakfast buffet and most of the staff not friendly or helpful
Rooms are nice.
Staff were very unhelpful.
Great location for LGBT travellers, very nice room.
The doors slam shut very loudly, neighbours coming home late, or leaving early wake you up as their doors slam shut. Showering it is unavoidable to get water all over the floor and tabletop. Slow lift
Several times I asked staff for simple thinks like 'can I store my bag' and it seemed like I was being a pain pulling them from a break
The wifi did not work for two hours, there was only one young girl working who tried but couldn't get it working for us. After trying for a couple hours, I asked for a refund, but was refused. Also, the door was sprung in such a way that it always slammed shut behind you. The hotel is showing its age, with rusting and dirt under glass.
Very enjoyable place to stay. Easy access to services trains etc Very well appointed room
Incompetent unfriendly personnel. I will Never Book here again!
the price, the location, the decor, the staff
Breakfast was abit boring
Not so close to the main turistic atractions like victory column, tiergarten or brandemburgo tur. Closer to a metro station. Tegel airport and train station. Quiet and clean rooms.
All rooms smoking Noisy Unhelpful receptionist Room not ready on arrival
Good comfortable hotel
Located strategically Really nice staff
My room was extremely small Breakfast not included
We were given a little room with a big SINGLE bed for 2 adults. It was so small that no desk, chair, mirror could be put in. Therefore one sit in the bed and the other sit in the toilet seat to read our emails. With 2 hand carrys put on the floor there was no space to move around at all. Bed against the wall with no light, the bed was so short my feet could touch the wardrobe at the foot of the bed, I'm only 5' 2" tall. When I complained, I was told this is the standard room I booked. This is a standard room for a one star hotel and not a 3 or 4 star hotel as indicated!!!
Clean, good sleeping, not so far from the center, good price

Great for me as visiting friends in Schoneberg but only 10-15 mins walk to Wittenberg Platz and KDW. Economy room, small but as it says Design Hotel. Held luggage as I had a late flight home. Staff great, professional and spoke perfect English. Loved the decor.Would go again if prices not too high.
Room had Velux window and blind. The cord from the blind hung vertically in a loop next to my bed, I moved it to behind the blind but could be a danger for children. Great you could smoke outside in pretty garden with decking an umbrella would be nice, it rained a lot during my stay.
I had a superior double room for £62 a night - very good value and excellent location. The wifi did work, despite some complaints I had read on line. It was 33 degrees and the air con was VERY welcome!
The decor is a little frayed around the edges but it's stylish and modern. The friendliness of staff was quite variable depending who was on the front desk.
