The heater couldn't warm the room in such a cold night.
The location was good, easy walk to the main shopping area, restaurants and attractions. Loved the Christmas market! We were traveling with our 14 year old son who loved hanging out in the lobby playing pool or foosball. Most of the staff were very accommodating. We got a wonderful restaurant recommendation for our "Thanksgiving dinner".
The beds were extremely hard and the pillows quite flat. We had to ask for toilet paper, toiletries, and towels. Used glasses were not replaced with clean. There should have been a coffeemaker in the room because trying to get a cup of coffee to take up to the room was a mission! On our first day, we were scolded by a staffer for helping ourselves to a cup of coffee from a machine set up in the lobby. We were told that was for other guests and not us! On our 1st and 2nd mornings we were awakened by drilling and hammering right outside our door at 8:00am! We paid extra for a "comfort room" which is supposed to mean we would be on a quiet floor...this was not the case. When I mentioned this to the front desk staffer, she did not appear to be aware that any work was being done. We only had breakfast at the hotel one day because we found 16 Euros per person to be a little expensive when there were a number of little cafes nearby that offered breakfast for considerablely cheaper.
The room was quite cold
The location is very good, walking distance from all the highlights in Trier. Modern design in common areas of the hotel. Good value for money (for us it was one Sunday night). Cheap parking, 9,5€ for 24h.
No minibar. The modernity ends when you enter in your room. I would have liked to see the same details. For some reason the under-cover of the bed was way smaller than the bed (I guess 90cm) for a 160cm bed. So it was not covering all the bed. The bad part of it is that the borders were really painful on our backs. We decided to take it out to have a good sleep. The next morning while checking out I explained about it at reception desk and the girl didn't even bothered to acknowledge the issue or apologise. Funny reaction I thought.
Excellent location, nice and comfortable hotel, vending machines selling reasonably priced snacks and drinks on each floor
Staff did not clean our room or make up the beds between our first and second night. Only speaks German. Parking is nearly €10 per night
Back door is close to beginning of pedestrian zone. Good breakfast.
Restaurant not up to rest of hotel.
Great, walkable location
We were given a smoking room at first until my husband complained.
Location was great, looking to drink and party, perfect for the area. Clean, friendly, English speaking staff.
A bit pricey for one night. Due to last minute booking, only had smoking room, not listed as one.
Lounge/lobby style Rain shower Easy parking
Rooms need a revamp too
Air conditioning did not work very well
staff helpfulness. close to historic city center
room location over busy street (other locations in hotel would be better on this issue). no a/c so open windows made for a heavy traffic noise. Located a block from a hospital with emergency vehicles dispatched on a regular basis.
Nevertheless high season, Price was too expensive.
I don't like checking out at 11 since I only get back in late give no time to sleep, feel like I am paying for a place to place my stuff
location room design
parking space limited, not possible to reserve, often full cleaning was not good (glasses left on table unwashed, trash bins not emptied)
Great location. Comfortable beds
Website implied free wifi.
Loved the happy shower curtain and toileteries!
Inetersting design of the lobby, the various corners ans lighting make it cosy. Good bathroom with nice rain shower. Excellent location!
The gloomy lighting of the floors where the rooms are gives them an atmosphere like the nearby "Hochbunker" during an air raid. Be prepared to pay for Wifi. The hotel claims to offer free Wifi, this is an almost "hidden option", so you will end up paying for WiFi.
Friendly staff, great location, clean, modern, the vending machines in the hallways are a great idea
There was no safe present in the room. I mean I'm 35 years old, I've been around and this is the first hotel ever where I've stayed that had no safe in the room? Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Very strange. Everything else was ok
Good location and nice lobby
children are not allowed to play in the cafeteria for breakfast.
The hotel is huge and very elegant for the price. It is walking distance from city centre.
Of all of the breakfasts I had on my 12-days trip, this one was by far the best.
Every thing was oke, we liked especialy the easy parking and the easy to reach location, the bar and the beach at breakfast
The ( Free ) Wifi was not explained so clearly what code to put in.
