It is still being family run and there is much pride and love that has gone into everything, it is felt all throughout the hotel and from the people who work there too. The dining is outstanding and my husband and I are quite "experienced diners" throughout Europe and the States. We love fantastic gourmet food, large wine selections, top service, warm elegant ambiance and we like to bring our kids to dinner too! This hotel fit that bill perfectly. We had pristine clean, comfy, generous sized rooms with large windows and a pleasant view. the location is great to base yourself for exploring surrounding Germany and Austria. the spa area had been renovated in 2007, it was nice but small, nothing spectacular or Zen, and the indoor pool water was too cool for my taste, but most of them usually are! |

Owners' and hotel staff's attention to guests' needs. Excellent cuisine. Little extras like welcoming letter, fruit bowl and hotel sponsored passes for local transportation and attractions. We did not use the spa or pool facilities and cannot comment on those. We feel this hotel will appeal more to those who value old world charm over modern conveniences such as a business centre, high definition tv or large bathrooms. Although an underground garage was available at extra cost, we would have preferred a closed parking area over the limited space available on an adjacent street. |

We had a JR Suite with a balcony. We sat on the balcony every day and looked at the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Lovely setting. The room was fantastic with a sitting room, mini kitchenette and beautiful canopy bed with feather down covers. We slept comfy and snuggly! The staff was outstanding and accommodating, the breakfast that was included was everything we needed and tasty. It was located in a beautiful cafe type setting that was bright and cheery! The hotel was located a couple blocks from the train station, a nice walk to either Partenkirchener or Garmisch. We had the best time! Thank you! The only thing - and it's not much - is we could not watch TV from the bedroom, only the sitting room. But no big deal. |

the staff was overwhelming in their service and friendliness. the breakfast room is very nice and offered a larger range of options than most of the other places we stayed. overall the experience was great. the parking garage is like trying to get your car out of impound. |

I expected so nice hotel since all reviewers gave quite high score for this hotel. And our stay was more than expected. All staff were so kind and so gentle and all service were not too much but not as usual. People who are working at this hotel see to love this hotel and let cutomers be happy and relax. My family, my wife and 4 kids, stayed different hotels during this travel and all rated the highest point to this hotel even though we've also stayed at world-wide famous name hotel group. Nothing !!! |

Management and employees have positive attitude and are always very willing to please. Everybody seems to be properly trained to perform their functions, resulting in excellent service and customer satisfaction. Restaurant is very good (dinner, lunch) and breakfast is superb. Location is excellent, three blocks from train station and station to take the special train to the Zugspitze mountain. The hotel underground garage is very poorly lit. Upon arrival we could not see some small items we had in the car which we wanted to take to the room. The garage door is dangerous as it closes without warning. |

The staff on the front desk were very helpful, the same could not be said for the rest. the room was at the front of the hotel and there was constant traffic roaring up and down the street up until 4am every night. |

The staff was very helpful and gave great suggestions on how to use our limited time to see the best of the Alps. Because the hotel is a combination of buildings, the lifts do no all go directly to the floors where your room may be located. |

Kostenloses Upgrade vom Doppelzimmer in eine Suite. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption. Sehr gute Küche und Spitzenweine mit Auszeichnungen zu angemessenen Preisen im Restaurant. Frühstücksleistung war sehr gut (u. a. kostenlos Sekt, verschiedene frische Früchte). Das Frühstück konnte bis 11 Uhr eingenommen werden, sodass wir genügend Zeit dafür hatten. Üblicherweise wird es in anderen Hotels nur bis ca. 10 Uhr angeboten. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, die Zimmer sind aber trotzdem ruhig. Das Servicepersonal im Restaurant und im Frühstücksbereich war unaufdringlich und sehr freundlich. Tische wurden sofort abgeräumt und gesäubert. Unsere Suite und das Bad (Fliesen, Badewanne, Unterschränke) sind ausstattungsmäßig etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Im Bad fehlten Einwegzahnbürsten, Einwegrasierer und Ohrenstäbchen, was wir bei 5 Sternen erwarten. Der Wandschmuck im Hotel (u. a. viele Hirsch- und Rehgeweihe), mittelalterliche Lanzen etc. sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache, entspricht vermutlich dem Credo der Besitzer und wird uns nicht abhalten, wieder in diesem Hotel zu übernachten. |

Do restaurante que é de um nível muito elevado e da simpatia do dono e das pessoas que trabalham no hotel O acesso ao quarto que era complicadíssimo e obrigava a subir e descer muitas escadas. O pequeno almoço também era pouco rico, não estava ao nível de um hotel de 5 estrelas |
