Located in the winter sports resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Treff Hotel Alpina offers modern rooms, a daily breakfast buffet and an indoor heated pool. The Olympia Stadium is half a mile away.
Score from 810 reviews Very good
This 4-star hotel features an indoor swimming pool, sauna and a cozy lounge. It has panoramic Alpine views and is located just a short walk from the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Score from 1081 reviews Very good
In the village of Grainau, this hotel is quietly located in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. Hotel Haus Hammersbach features a swimming pool, sunbathing area, and cosmetic treatments are available....
Score from 449 reviews Very good
This family-run, 3-star hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers great views of the Bavarian Alps, a spacious spa with beauty salon, and free Wi-Fi. The train station is 660 yards away.
Score from 365 reviews Very good
Location is great, close to the train station that takes you to the slopes. Wellness center is very high quality. Staff is VERY friendly and professional. Breakfast is great. Rooms are basic but clean and practical. Overall, great value, highly recommended.
Hotel room was immaculate and roomy. Staff very attentive.
Breakfast was very good but a little repetitive - some variation would be good. Pool very cold. No tea & coffee facility in room.
From the moment of being greeted at check-in by Martin, our stay was defined by the warm friendly nature of the staff (special compliments to John - who gave us some invaluable advice and local knowledge). The room was more than comfortable enough for a family travelling with young children, unfortunately ours were still under the influence of jet lag for our stay so we couldn't fully experience all the hotel's facilities. Breakfast was excellent and a wide buffet selection was available each morning and a good cooked breakfast was also available upon request. The brasserie was particularly good and the Bavarian Ox and Lamb Medallions were superb!
Only 1 member of staff in the brasserie restaurant seemed a little disengaged - but that cannot detract from the otherwise excellent and warm service from all the other staff and the excellent food that was on offer.
Staff was very helpful. Nice location near train station and local bus stops. Very nice breakfast. Very nice atmosphere.
I had to leave and go back to work.
very good location, good breakfast and helpfull staff
not a good value for the money we paid. room was ok-nothing special with a squeaky bed, small and very soft pillows and a bathroom with a leaky and slow shower.something that you would get in a decent 3star hotel. spa facility nice enugh but quite small for the size of the hotel so around the late afternoon was packed. asked for a quiet room and we were given one facing the main street!.all in all not an unpleasant experience but didn't feel like 5 stars except for the price
The interior is beautiful with large rooms. The staff were friendly, but maybe too chatty. Overall good value for money in the winter. Close to the mountains for skiing or hiking.
The breakfast was substandard and they had no regional specialities, like weisswurst, they ran out!?
the hotel has a good location and the staff is friendly and helpful. The communal areas (lobby, restaurant, etc.) are very nice with lots of atmosphere
The rooms are quite dated and worn out. The Wellness area is also on the small side. Overall it is rather expensive for what it offers
near centrum and good service
the price is to expensive for this standard - for me this was no 5-star standard hotel.
We liked our room , hotel position and all Hotel facilities ( including garage and ski lookers ) Very nice people on the reception desk and especially nice blond man who is helping with luggage and doing a lot of services for the clients - he was really nice much more as his job needed from him . Breakfast was really good .
We suggest to offer some fat free yougurt and skimmed milk for breakfast ( this will be not expensive at all but now many people are looking for healthier choices and it will good for them) We were very disappointed with Christmas dinner , which we booked in advance in hotel restaurant , but as we appeared for dinner - restaurant staff did not find our names in the list and just escorted us to the bistro offered the same menu without any excuses , as if we came to eat and not to celebrate . I must say that the main disappointed thing was not that our reservation was lost , but nobody said any kind of exuses and restaurant manager was really rude - exporting us from the restaurant silently with scornful expressou as if we do not belong to this place .

"Maze" to get to room Location good, but be prepared to walk 15 or so minutes to the old town area
I liked the breakfast, the bartender, and the recommendations about things to do in town.
The jacuzzi was tepid!
very clean big room and wifi available.
Fantastic view from the room! Loved the feel of the hotel, very Bavarian.
The room was small requested for better not available was the answer, unless additional payment of euro 60 per day that too was inconveniently located The room on first floor facing road was noisy due traffic movement
We loved the quaint spacious room, the delicious breakfasts in the airy sunroom, the helpful staff, the delicious meals in the dining room and the extensive spa . We also borrowed their bikes and explored everywhere.
We were happy with everything.
It was a really nice looking hotel in terms of decorations. Staff was especially helpful in helping us plan our stay in Garmisch (which had not been well planned ahead of time), and was very accommodating overall. One night, we were sick, and one of the staff brought us some tea, even though the kitchen was closed.
It was pricey, but you get what you pay for - no regrets.
Well located, within walking distance to main town areas. Friendly, helpful staff and good restaurants. We had stayed here many years ago as tourists and found this stay, just as enjoyable.
Wish there was coffee machine in the room-or access to coffee earlier in the dining room.
The cooporation of their butler Micheal was exellent. He was very helpful.
The spa was the best.
Close to station Lovely staff and room made up early and also prepared for night. Room large and comfortable.
Long, complicated route from room to reception. Breakfast and restaurant only fair. Not in the centre of town
The location is excellent near to attractions, breakfast is good, staff excellent, easy parking
The room is old, needs new furniture and carpet. The hotel is rated 5-star but looking at the room condition I think it should deserve 3 only.
large space, view of mountain, staff
the room is a bit old, and in the dead part of the town. lack of green patch as shown on the picture
Friendly staff, good breakfast
Uncomfortable bed made for poor sleep quality.
The staff were the best out of all the hotels we have ever stayed in. The restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious, and of the highest quality. The chef was so good, and catered every day for my very difficult dietary requirements, producing the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. The location was perfect for everything. This hotel was beautiful, charming and so good we hope to make a return trip.
The only downside was as always pillows which were too soft and feather. The only mirror in the bedroom was on the back of the bathroom door, a little difficult for applying make-up and styling hair. having said this the hotel more than made up for this on every other level and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We absolutely love the attention to detail from the staff at check in, to the beautiful rooms to the amazing restaurant. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and looked after.
