Excellent view of the lake and mountains; spacious rooms and nice facilities (pool, spa, lobby bar, underground garage, etc.)
This hotel its just a little outside the town but it has magnificent views of the village and of the lake. It has a first class spa and gym. There are many activities at the hotel and if you enjoy an early morning walk around the lake it's perfect. Upon entering the hotel you are greeted by excellent staff who offered us a glass of wine while we sat by the fire. they have to beautiful dining rooms and the food is excellent. We had a had a room with a balcony that have beautiful views of the town. We had two bathrooms and a sitting room downstairs for our child it was perfect. Breakfast was fabulous with variety of foods. They have a lovely bar that seemed to stay open forever or maybe it was just for us. We will definitely be going back every year. If you want to be close to the town and yet have a elegant beautiful hotel to stay in this is the one you can easily grab a taxi from the front door and be into town in 5 minutes. You can have a dinner abd drink at the sea house and look the beautiful lake front of you it is breathtaking and very relaxing or you can go into the main dining room which is just as lovely.
Our waiter in the dining room was not very nice, it was a little confusing to order dinner. When we booked we booked full board and apparently it's a separate menu which our waiter did not offer. Ideally he should have offered both menus to us and said pick what you want. When we asked him what the menu was for full board he just said let me surprise you and our main course was a plate of liver which was a shame because I would have ordered lamb if I had known. We waited a very long time for dessert. This is a shame because it could have been a wonderful meal if he had been a little more polite.
Staff were friendly Breakfast good
Wifi didn't connect well Pillows were not comfortable Toilets wasn't cleaned well No teaser in the room We asked for a lake view but wasn't good from our room
This was a return visit for me and I was not disappointed! The hospitality, professionalism of the staff and food was just a good if not better than it was on my previous visit. Florian Westhoff, Kutharina Umnz and Philip Hunter went above of beyond what was expected to make my stay even more pleassant! I enjoyed a spa day and could not be more pleased with the service and the prices are much more affordable than spas in the US.
the stuff the room the place and the nature is amazing and the quit of the place is best
Spacious room, location, mountain view, hotel facilities, free parking, hotel's restaurant, wifi in the room
Air conditioning facilities, poor breakfast
nice hotel nice breakfast
Hated having to maneuver the stairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Fruhstuck is Fabulous! Having the spa at the hotel is wonderful. It was rainy and having the parking garage connected to the Hotel was very nice.
Loved the location, the views, beautiful setting, excellent breakfast.
Only stayed one night - would loved to have extended our time there!
Very beautiful place with his "own" lake. For those who travel with the car only. Free underground parking. Good breakfast, nice rooms. Warm pool and jakuzzi open till 23:00. Sauna and spa. Very quiet place.
One of the evenings there were no hot water for 2 hours, because the main heater stopped working.
Location, room, comfort, staff, restaurants, takes dogs (although with a charge), nice spa.
Spa hours for treatments, if you stay over one night on a Sunday night there is no chance for a spa treatment.
It just didnt do it for me.
Pretty view next to a small lake.
Poor shower. Old carpet. Room wasn't cleaned until 6:00pm. Massages were booked up.
We like every thing during our stay in this hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much, and we would like to come back again with longer period of stay.
The spa is ok.
The noisiest hotel ever been to! I was placed in a room above the kitchen and there was lots of noise from the worker's coming from the floor late at night and very early in the morning. My family and my friends couldn't sleep very well. We found the rooms not very clean. Probably the other rooms wher better than building "B" !
The view from the hotel was fair enough
The bad smell in most of the hotel facilities
Location is nice overlooking Garmisch
I booked 3 rooms 2 delux and a suite but . The hotel is having 3 buildinds and we were surprized that the building we stayed in has no elevator and no concierge service so we had to carry our luggage up. We have an infant with her trolly and had to carry it all the way to 3rd floor in absence if elevator. It should have been mentioned in hotel description.
Water in Saunas to throw on the stones! Unheard of in Germany! GREAT! Spa and Saunas included in the price. Fair prices in the Bar and Minibar. Great nature close place, but slightly far from GaPa.
WiFi didn't work anywhere in the hotel the whole time. Someone managed to put Gin & Tonic into our room price. That's not really fault of the hotel, but even the signature didn't seem anything like my name.
great location, beautiful grounds
we did not get the rooms we had booked, they only had smaller rooms available
The hotel itself is very beautiful and setting is serene. We had a room that overlooked the lake and the parking area. The bed was at least a queen and very comfortable. We travel a lot in Europe and this by far had the most comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast buffet was included in the price of the room and had plenty of choices. It had hot and cold choices with lots of meats, juices and breads to choose from. The pool was a good size and served its purpose. We went for a walk around the lake only to discover it was the 1936 Olympic ice rink and the Bobsled track ended here too. The staff was extremely welcoming and offered me prosecco and my son some gummis while we waited for our keys to be made. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
Our room was over the restaurant so we heard the noise from that and at 0700 the awning was moved over the dining area causing more noise. I could not seem to figure out how to open the windows in the pool(if they did). It was extremely hot in there.
tour group meeting outside of the room's open windows at 6:00 am. woke us (and I'm sure several others) up early. Tour groups should meet in lobby or out front to keep from disturbing other guests
