Hotel Residenz Düsseldorf  

The staff. We have chosen for this hotel because we wanted a rather cheap hotel near the center of Dusseldorf. We did not expect much of it. The room and bathroom were as we expected: clean, complete but not deluxe, time for an upgrading... The service however was better than we normally get in 4 or 5-star hotels. A very friendly staff with a good feeling for hospitality.

Location.

this hotel its very well located, near the railway station and near to do center. You can walk from there to everywhere. Excellent location for someone who wants to be near the center and must go also to the Messe (Exhibition center)

The hotel residenz is excellent value for money, in a good location, is clean & comfortable & has friendly & informative staff. The breakfast is good & it is everything I would expect from a budget hotel. Well worth the money.

The buffet breakfast was fantastic...we looked forward to it every day! The hotel is also very well-located if you're coming or going by train from Hauptbahnhof.

A bit outside the old centre of the city, but easily walkable

No wifi !!! They provide a wire kit for internet which does not work... We are in 2011 !!! No public wifi available neither !!! I Will Never come back to this hotel...

Too noisy. Dirty bathroom. Dust is everywhere. Impossible to take coffee/tee to go: everytime no water in pot and broken coffee-machine. The women's WC on the first floor didn't work. Poor breakfast, honestly. Pillows were terrible, in one room there were different blankets. The safe didn't work too. And no ventilation at all. But if you open the window - terrible noise. Internet only through the 2m-long cable. And it's impossible to charge the lap-top and use I-net at once: the second socket is too far. So we had to sit on the floor.

Noisy street, noisy neighbours. If you are not a citykid, avoid this place.

Staff were very helpful and spoke very good English Perfecly servicable and idealy located for tram system.

This hotel is situated close to the train station, and within walking distance of the konnigsallee and aldstadt, making it perfect for a city break on a budget. The hotel is on a busy road and is not luxurious, but is clean and comfortable enough for most! Fab shower too.

Overall ok, but too expensive for what it worth.

I had a room on the top floor, which was very warm and the road was too noisy to have the window open. Never the less, a small ventilator had been left in the room and was good enough to use, although noisy.The hotel's carpet looked lilke it needed replacing. The bathroom of my room could do with doing up. I paid 120 euros for our rooms, this is too expensive price.
