Hotel Residenz Berlin  

We were very happy with our stay at the hotel. The staff were very attentive and polite at all times. The cleanest bathroom we have ever had in a hotel. Would recommend a stay there.

Everything was very good, except for the Spartan breakfast.

Heating in room was not adjustable and could not cope with the cold weather.

We thought the hotel was good value for money and were impressed by the peacefulness of our room (located at the back, overlooking a courtyard).

The only thing we found a little annoying was the idea of having different kinds of breakfasts. We chose the vitality or the business option as we found the buffet too expensive. We thought your system was inconvenient both for the guest and for the staff, and it is probably not cost-effective. We couldn't even eat all we were given for the business breakfast, and would probably have taken less from the buffet. Why not just have a more reasonably-priced breakfast buffet?

The location is perfect, just off the Ku'damm, close to the shopping area, restaurants, bars, good starting point for site seeing...

The room was extremely small, with a bit of drought from the windows. Internet connection (both ethernet and wifi) did not work at all during my 2 days stay.

Very nice staff, clean, great location, good value.

Wireless and in general, internet services, were poorly maintained. If internet is critical, think about another hotel.

The large spacious superior double room with balcony over looking Meinikenstrasse was very comfortable with plenty of cupboards/drawers for housing all that was necessary for a city break. (Too many city hotels have very little storage and you have to live out of a suitcase). The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, close to a main railway station and within yards of the tourist hop on/off bus starting point. The breakfast buffet provided a good variety of hot and cold but was a little expensive compared to the dinner menu which was excellent - beautifully presented food cooked to order. My only ciritisism of the dinner menu is that the choices were quite limited so if you were staying there for any length of time it would become boring. Having said that there are a wealth of good restaurants close by on which the hotel will advise. (Our friend had a superior single room next door which was as good but without a useable balcony)

I liked the location, comfort, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, decor of the rooms, and the right price.

Very close to the Kurfürstendamm, yet in a quiet street. Good connections to all city parts. Friendly and helpful staff

There were no tea/coffee making faciilities available in the room
