Friendly staff, fantastically comfortable beds and linen, spotless clean, very original and tasteful breakfast (one of the best I ever had), great location! Limited parking just next to hotel (4 palaces only) but public parking close by)

the hotel is just right in size and location, in the middle of town, everything walking distance; clean, nice, quiet and cosy, with very comfortable beds; our room was facing & overlooking the Danube river - during high-season and daytime, it might be noisy from the street, but during our stay mid-February it was just peaceful absolutely nothing to report here

The room was absolutely spotless and presented beautifully. The little touches made it rather special. The staff were friendly and assisted with everything we needed. View from river side room was lovely. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in our recent travels. No parking at hotel, but carpark was quick 5 minute walk away. Would recommend to anyone.

Our room looked over the Danube River, was spacious and very neat. The lobby was very comfortable with several sitting areas. teh owners were very helpful and kind to my wife and I. We could not stay longer, had to leave for a river cruise.

Hotel Residenz Passau is a very clean, comfortable and well located hotel. In the centre of the old town, close to the river boat docks and all the key sights. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff who were happy to help with restaurant recommendations. Free wifi was great too.

The room was excellent, spacious with great bathroom faciclities. Location also, everything within walking distance. Would have liked a room overlooking the river, but we will go again and request this. The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice, decor lovely and cleanliness also spot on. We would have loved a couple of english choices on the t.v. The television was a great size but we could find nothing suitable in our language. If our stay would have been longer it would have been nice to relax in such a lovely room and watch a film or just an english channel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a personal greeting message in our room on arrival which made us feel welcome. The location is fantastic and the breakfast delicious! There is a lovely sitting room to use and little Clara the dachshund was almost smuggled into my suitcase when we left. There is nothing to complain about, our stay was wonderful. The only thing which might make it even better for english speaking visitors is some english reading, books or news papers.

Its position in front of the Danube river 1. The lack of staff for luggage, 2. Not all its rooms are climatizated, they have a different price and all this is not specified at the moment of reservation. So pay attention at the moment of reservation because Passau is a wet City and in the Summer time, I think air conditioned into the room it's necessary.
