Classy hotel with nice big rooms and spacious feel. Located well with a nice walk along the river to the city centre.

The bed was two single beds rather than a double bed. That was the only disappointment.

i booked three nights, and when i check in, i told the front dest i will only stay for one night, but they insisted charging me two nights even i only stayed one night.

Excellent breakfast, wellness facilities

Entire experience is first-rate, staff are exceptional, breakfast was the best I've had in Germany.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

Spacious rooms.

Internet is useless, very slow and it's not free too. Far from city center, more than 1.5km away and in cold nights, that's too far. Also when they make up your room, they don't change towels, i stayed there for 5 nights and they never changed it, they keep hanging the used one in the bathroom.

The cleaning was not good enough. The tissue paper was finish and not replaced... no place for suitcase it was problems with the hot water.

Location by the old ity is perfect. the building is royal and feels like it. Everything about it was grand.

1) Unpleasant reception staff. 2) WiFi Internet is charged, but rarely works. 3) Louzy breakfast with same items daily. Quite boring for any guests staying for more than a couple of days. 4) Booked for double room with double bed for single person, but provided double room with two single beds! Overall this hotel is not worth of the money paid for!

The hotel is a nice historic and modern property. we stayed in a suite in the historic wing which was comfortable and pleasing furnished.

There is only one elevator to access accommodation in the historic wing and it is located on one side of the hotel - quite a long way from our room. To access the elevator you have to walk through the breakfast or evening buffet where guests are obtaining their food, most unpleasant for both parties especially when you are checking out with your luggage means taking your luggage through the breakfast buffet. The restaurant is situated next to the buffet servery area and provides for both fine dining! and buffet guests. Also of note is the bar was closed so pre dinner drinks could not be enjoyed. I would not consider this to be a 4 star superior hotel.

'The hotel is in a great location to visit Bamberg; just a short walk to walking district. The hotel is quite charming, old but well kept. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good.

This was the place where my grandmother died in 1954 when it was still a hospital. You have an exelent staff at the reception desk and resaurant not to forget the bar. The breackfast in the morning wa just out of this world and so was your staff. The afternoon coffee and selection of cakes wasa pleasant suprise.

As a foreigner not knowing that certain services were not available due to local holidays. How are we to know? Noisy tourists in the elevator and bar from the Netherlands. Dirty drinking glases brought up from the bar not removed at all during my stay.

Good location just outside of Old Town. Quiet and relaxing.

Nicht negativ aber zu beachten: Da sich das Hotel in einem Schloss befindet, können die Wege im Hotel manchmal etwas länger sein...

Leider ist für ältere Menschen ein Wannen-/Duschbad nicht immer die beste Lösung.
