Spacious, quite and clean bedroom with balcony (upon request). Friendly and helpful staff, nice location. The restaurant serves good local disces.

Located beside the Rhine River , very convenient to visit the town, and cycling to the other village Bacharach, St Goar ... very good services form the hotel staff, good food from the restaurant too.

VERY noisy. The hotel is close to the railway and trains were running past all night (not a good hotel for light sleepers). There was also a function being held and the noise reverberated around the hotel due to the open stair well.

This was our fourth stay here and the hotel is ideal as it's on our route to/from our destination. The room was okay. Breakfast was good.

This was our fourth stay here and on this occasion I was a bit disappointed. We arrived on Monday and were unaware when booking it that it was Ruhetag (closing day). Although this meant that the kitchen was closed that wouldn't have been too bad (although we were disappointed as the food is excellent) but there were no staff in the hotel and we had to phone the owner who said she would only be 3 minutes but we had to wait nearly 15 minutes before she turned up and it was very cold. I would have expected some sort of apology for this but none was forthcoming. The room we had was not as good as we had previously had, the carpet was worn and the shower door wouldn't close properly and was 'hanging'. As there were only about 4 rooms occupied in the whole hotel I would have thought we could have been given a different room with a decent shower. I haven't yet decided if I will stay here again but if I do I definitely won't book to arrive on a Monday.

A traditional German Gasthof with a very good restaurant. The room was comfortable and the breakfast traditional German and excellent. The location was close to the Rhine so good for an evening walk.

Staff/management were very helpful and understanding--actually opened up for us after they had closed (on Monday)--we arrived later than expected. Breakfast was plentiful and healthy. Located very conveniently.

Parking facilities are limited, although there's a lot of free park space just outside hotel near the road. Non-smoking rooms.

Das Hotel lud dank des überaus zuvorkommenden Personals, dem stilvollem Ambiente und der hervoragenden Küche dazu ein, sich voll und ganz wohlzufühlen und dem Alltag für kurze Zeit zu entfliehen.

wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, das Zimmer war sehr sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Wir haben abends auch in dem Restaurant gegessen. Das Essen war sehr gut, alles frisch zubereitet, allerdings nicht billig, aber jeden Euro wert.

Meine erste Bewertung war ziemlich negativ, da es einige Merkmale in unserem Zimmer gab dieses nicht mehr zu buchen. Doch zu meiner großen Freude wurde ich sehr zeitnah von der Eigentümerin kontaktiert, um diese von mir als solche angesehene zu besprechen. Dieser Kontakt wurde telefonisch, also persönlich, aufgenommen und nicht auf eine andere Art und Weise was wir als ungewöhnlich positiv erachteten. Es kümmerte also jemanden und uns wurde schlüssig und einleuchtend sehr angenehm mitgeteilt woran es gehapert hat. Infolge dessen werden wir uns sehr wohl demnächst wieder in diesem Haus einfinden und uns erst gar nicht mehr woanders erkundigen. Leider meines Wissens nach die geringe Anzahl an Parkplätzen, die aber aus dem gewachsenen Stadtbild zu erklären ist und sich wohl nicht realisieren lässt. Wir hatten trotzdem kein Problem, das Haus in kurzer Zeit fußläufig zu erreichen.
