Pleasant hotel in an idyllic setting in the pedestrianised historic centre of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room, in the 17th century part of the building, was clean and pleasantly quirky somewhat let down by a synthetic sponge mattress. There are a good range of restaurants very close by but if you are driving it is not obvious where you can park. We found a space in a street 5 minutes walk away, outside of the pedestrian area. Breakfast was acceptable but limited in scope.

Mario gave us a very warm welcome to his beautiful accommodation. He was very friendly and funny. We liked the location near the lovely old town. It was also very convenient for public transportation and had a great supermarket nearby too. We walked every day along the river to Besigheim through forests and past vineyards. Highly recommend a foot massage at CHUMS Thai Massage just a few minutes away from Mario's!
