The hotel may not have the benefit of being situated on the harbour front with wonderful views but it more than makes up for that, in its central location, its compact size, its staff and owner who are so welcoming and customer friendly, added to the fact that I was provided with the best breakfast I have ever had in the many hotels I have stayed in around the Alpine region. Plenty of variety in cereals, cheese, breads, hams, yoghurts with the added positives of slithers of salmon, and eggs done in whichever way (I had scrambled, and they were superb). Lindau for me is a superb location, and this hotel fully played its part in me reaching that conclusion, and I would be more than happy to book again.
Nothing, but two things you must be comfortable with... 1. The hotel is only 3 storeys but no lift 2. The church clocks ring every quarter hour (in my opinion not that loudly).. Both of these of things I am happy with, church bells ringing are part of the fabric of Lindau, whilst the fact there is no lift for me is something I actually like in the smaller sized hotels, both of these I stress are extremely minor points but you should be aware. Even so, unless you have a very low tolerance level to bell ringing or climbing stairs, I would recommend this hotel 100% and hope to return next year
