charming character, especially the restaurant. Friendly service, clean, good value and great location - close to motorway and easy to find, yet far enough away from the main road to avoid traffic noise.

The room was very basic - mine even lacked any light-blocking curtains or shutters, but everything was well maintained.

Diner and breakfast were excellent. Easy to reach from Autobahn. Good parking.

Church clocks sound long time at six in the morning and you can hear quote a lot of noise from other people. Nothing to do in Rottendorf.

Hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, and our room spacious and spotlessly clean. We were only staying overnight, but found the restaurant food excellent, and a good buffet breakfast available to us in the morning.

Large rooms, rather good breakfast - a good and quiet place to stay (shortly) while transiting Germany. Good restaurant, as well.

I had two rooms - for both the outside light came through the bathroom windows and doors (no direct daylight)

Very helpful, friendly and service oriented. Restaurant provided delicious meals. Comfortable, clean rooms close to Wuerzburg.

No room facilities like kettle, fridge, ironing board (although an ironing board was provided when we asked for it)

The location of the Hotel Zum Kirschbaum just a few minutes drive outside the city of Würzburg offered significant value over hotels in the city. Also, the English-speaking reception staff was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. In particular, Yolanda in the front office reception went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She offered suggestions for places to eat and things to do in Rottendorf. She also helped us switch to larger rooms the second night at no extra cost. The breakfasts were included in the nightly hotel room rate and were available for four hours (if I remember correctly) to accommodate the many schedules of guests. The breakfast meal was plentiful, varied and fresh. Clean presentation of food. We also dined in the hotel restaurant one evening and had a good German meal. The restaurant was busy that night, but the service was fast. Comfortable room with large bathroom and beautiful, bright windows overlooking pretty homes across the street. Even though we had a room on the street side, the traffic was very little and so quiet that we had the windows open without being disturbed. We also enjoyed the free parking places across the street from the hotel.

Friendly and helpfully staff, family driven hotel restaurant. We used the hotel for a transit night: should be close to the high way and be quiet.

The rooms could benefit from more cleanliness in detail.
