The cheerful Rhein-Hotel St.Martin offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. For over 80 years we have been offering hospitality to visitors of all ages and nationalities, with many guests returning here time and time again.

Food & beverage

Our beer garden is open from mid-March to the end of October, and offers a pleasant atmosphere in close proximity to the Rhine. Take your pick from our wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Our menu comprises a varied selection of small dishes as well as coffee and cakes.

Enjoy the summer in Cologne's Old Town, and savour a cool Kölsch while you admire the wonderful panoramic view of the Rhine.

Room information

Our double rooms and single rooms are all spacious, with tasteful, functional, bright and cosy furnishings.

Our 2 large apartments are situated on the uppermost floor of the building. Both feature a private bathroom, 2 rooms and a wonderful view over the rooftops of the city.

Area information

The Rheingarten awaits right outside our front door, and invites you to take long walks along the banks of the Rhine, past the listed buildings of the Old Town.

The city centre can also be reached with ease and has much to offer, from shops and cultural attractions to a vibrant night life and many large events.

In close proximity to the hotel you find the "Groß St.Martin", one of the most attractive romantic churches in Cologne, the town hall with its old marketplace, the Gürzenich, the Wallraf Richartz Museum, the Ludwig Museum, the Cologne Philharmonic Orchestra, the theatre "Senftöpfchen", the "Hänneschen" puppet theatre, the Musical Dome, the Imhoff Stollwerck Chocolate Museum, the Sports and Olympic Museum and much more.

Location directly in front of the KD boats with bars, shops, restaurants, and the main train station very close.

This is the only hotel in Germany that did not have a functional bathroom. The shower had a curtain all around it which flooded the bathroom floor every time I used it. Consequently, the bathroom had a lot of mildew. The pictures of the rooms do not represent what the rooms look like. Way too expensive for what you get, despite the excellent location. Try the Hotel Brandenburg Hof instead.

The location is excellent. Clean and neat. Good service.

Pillows should be smaller or bed bigger.

Location in the old town

Only the four flights of stairs which we had to climb as there was no lift facilities.

Son emplacement

L'accès à internet est proposé uniquement dans la salle commune au rez
de chaussée mais cette salle est en fait non disponible le soir car du
personnel y travaille. Heureusement on peut se connecter en wi-fi
gratuit dans la rue grâce à hotspot. L'autre problème est qu'il n'y a
pas d'ascenseur ce qui oblige à monter les étages avec ses bagages
lourds par l'escalier. Pour le reste tout est parfait.

le calme et la proximité du centre historique de Cologne.

La clé de notre chambre, que l'on doit remettre au portier à chaque sortie, a failli être remise à d'autres personnes. Cela a été évité in extrémis, suite à notre intervention.

Die zentrale Lage und das unkomplizierte Handling. Die Lage des Zimmers war erstklassig mit Blick zum Rhein.

Bad ist etwas sehr klein, speziell um die Toilette herum.
