Rhein-Hotel St.Martin  

Perfect location - very near to the Rhein and main railway station. Also all restaurants are just downstairs. Very convinient to walk to Köln Messe - just 20minutes.

They didnt have elevator. To climb to the 3rd floor with heavy suitcases was not very good idea. But what do to?

The location was fabulous...centrally located, cathedral, museums, riverside, shopping, hundreds of options for dining and drinking within steps of the hotel, zs well as a constantly chNging scene of riveerside life: families, dog walkers, open air entertainment and revelers.... All make people watching a pleasure.

The noise level made it very difficult to sleep. Beward, if you are (like me) a light sleeper. The party atmosphere lasted until the early hours every night I was there.... This made getting rest, & getting up, difficult. However, that inconvenience aside, the stay was wonderful.

Very basic accommodations, however staff was very friendly and helpful! Excellent value for the price and very nice location!

All rooms are smoking rooms there are no non smoking rooms in the hotel beds are very small single beds and vert well worn

Even with the heating on the top setting, the room was still abit cold but thats what you get for a Jan holiday, there were extra blankets provided in the room :)

Stayed here for an event at the Messe. Very nice family run place, good breakfast, clean rooms and a good rest/bar - all on the river front and very well priced! Not noisy as other reviews mention. I'll be going back! Thanks!

Location - near by the pedestrian zone. Extra blanket in the closet. Breakfast - nice variety

No elevator. Management & Staff smoke in the lobby. Restaurant-Bar attached to hotel is very noisy on a Friday night. Called the front desk at 11:30 to ask about the music - was told "well, it's a bar & there is a party tonight & they said if anyone complained to come down for a free beer & that the party was only going to last a few more hours. It was 1:30 am before it was quiet. We had 3 Single rooms - 1 mattress was very hard, 1 was soft & 1 was ok - pillows had to be wadded up into a ball to be use-able. Bathroom - very small & cramped. Small shower, mold/mildew on the grout, tiles cracked, cobwebs up on the walls. Doors does not fit tightly, when hall door is opened, the air change makes the room door bang & rattle against the frame. Internet - you have to pay & the connection is poor. Overpriced considering they don't have any stars.

Great location in the old city centre, right beside the river. The facilities are basic but good value. Good selection of food at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Fine for a short city break or shopping trip.

Very nice exterior in Old town (Altstadt), next door to St.Martin Church, on Rhein bank - excellent location. The breakfast in the restaurant is great. The Internet was fast and reliable, I could get VPN connection. Everything is Ok.

The staff were very nice and also helpful. This Hotel is great for people who like night life but not so good for people who wish to sleep early as it is next to all restaurants and bars.

The only complaint is the lack of a lift.
