Very nice surroundings, location in very center of the old town

The location is perfect for a city trip. Rooms are sufficiently clean.

There is no elevator, which might be a nightmare if you're in the top floor and have a heavy bag.

Great central location, right beside the Rhine, spacious clean room, nice breakfast with plenty of choice, luggage storage facility, all in all a great hotel.

all rooms permit smoking (i think), i would prefer some non smoking rooms.

Very practical and ideally situated for station city centre and most of what there is to see on a short visit to Koeln. Have stayed there many times over almost 30 years-so we know it to be a good comfortable and reliable base. Good comfortable room (pity no ensuite which would have enhanced it further) and excellent breakfast-friendly helpful staff, and it most interesting room "overlooked" by fascinating collection of photographs-mostly political. Always good to stay there and doubtlessly we shall do so again.

As above. No En-suite in our double room, tho' not a huge problem.

Wi-fi was unavailable and we were not told until after we had paid to use it and amount was not removed from bill. We would not have chosen to stay here if we had known there was no wi-fi

I did stay at this hotel before, so i knew what to expect, and that is what i also got - very good location of a hotel, which - located in the heart of the old town on the rover Rhine - provides all what as I traveller I need, clean, safe, covenient accommodation with good breakfast for excellent price.

Great hotel and a great value. Convenient to the Altstadt and train station. Only a short walk from the convention center. It's a nice spot right on the river. I go to a convention in Köln every two years and I'll definitely stay here again.

The Hotels usually have a kind of smell that I'm always sensitive, but this hotel is so clean and so carefully and naturally cleaned that there was no detergent smell or anything. The building is located close to railway station so it's easy to reach. The staff is friendly and breakfast is very useful. If I stay in Köln again, I'll choose this hotel again.

No hot water in the shower !!!

Stayed here for an event at the Messe. Very nice family run place, good breakfast, clean rooms and a good rest/bar - all on the river front and very well priced! Not noisy as other reviews mention. I'll be going back! Thanks!
