MEININGER Hotel Köln City Center  

Hotel staff were amazingly friendly and accomodating. They even put some toys in the room for my son to play with! Location is also very good.

The shower hadn't been cleaned and the heat registers needed dusted.

I liked how close it was to all the clubs.

I didn't like the area it was in. Parking was horrible. The rooms were tiny, dark and smelly. The bathrooms were disgusting. If you are sitting on the toilet, you were not able to close the door. The bathroom clearly had mel-due all over everything. The entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room building. There was no hot water! Personally I believe the hotel was way over priced for what was given. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a nice enough hotel. We stayed 2 nights and our room was kept nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower a good one. There was also a small tv in the room. We were doing other things so didn't try any of the facilities on offer such as bar, restaurant, internet access etc.

The breakfast was the usual cheap German fair of meat, bread, cheese, jam, cerials, eggs, but quite poor. They ran out of juice, bread and coffee on the first day, none of which were refilled. The same thing happened on the second day to but at least the guy doing the breakfast refilled the coffee. I wouldn't recommend taking breakfast here. There are plenty of local coffee shops with better products and value for money.

The hotel was in a great location and easy to get to from the aiport. It was close to a number of different stations and was situated within a nice area of town close by restaurants and bars.

The room was very small. There was three of us staying in a 4 bed room with an ensuit. If there had actually been 4 of us I don't know how we would have moved around the room. The room was also very noisy. You could hear people in other rooms, outside and you also got the noise from the lift. This was dissapointing as I have stayed in the Meinenger in Berlin and had an amazing room.

No ventilation in bathroom, lamp was broken, tv didn't work very well, but we didn't come to Germany to watch tv!

The hotel is not far away from City Center and can be easily reachable either by foot or by public transport. The decor is quite usual and seems a bit "used", but generally the hotel is cozy. The reception is working 24h and friendly.

The price for a room is rather low, but one have to pay for each additional service. When we came two beds weren't made up and there was no one of pillow-cases. Smoking is allowed in a public lobby, while free wireless internet is only in this place.

Good location, free wifi in the lobby. It was also working on the 2nd floor. Clean. Fast check-in/check-out. 24H bar.

The hotel location is very good, because when you stay here, you're close to shopping oportunities, bars & restaurants and monuments. The stuff was very kind, room vas quite small but clean and cosy. Lobby with free wi-fi and equipped kitchen was also plus.

The room was very small and the room key wasn't working sometimes.

It is very reasonably priced and in a convenient location. There is enough space for a lone traveller.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was ideal for our short stay and the area was great.

Cleanliness rate is quite good, and a powerful shower is provided in the bath room.
