My double room with a balcony overlooking the Rhine was an ideal location and close to the town, railway station and the river ship services - all at a budget price. As a smaller hotel it had no large tour groups when I was there, so there was more personal attention

The staff were amazing. We had an early train to catch and the chef got up and opened the breakfast room an hour early just for us. nothing was too much trouble and the meal in their restaurant was great. location was superb and rail station only 5mins away

The location as it was located just in front of the rhein.

The extra bed we asked for wasn't done already and it was too expensive. There were works nearby so the noise the following morning was horrible

It fronts the Rhine at Boppard and from the 5th floor (yes there is a lift) where we were you get stunning views- I'll be putting a photo on trip advisor! We got a good welcome from reception. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, certainly very good value for what we paid.

Not the hotel's fault, but the ambience for having a meal or drink on the riverside area outside was a bit spoiled by the fact that building work was in hand in adjacent properties.

located right by river had beautiful setting. staff spoke very little English and were unfriendly. Do not have dinner there. they did have a nice buffet breakfast each morning. rooms are small and bathroom shower was hard to get in and out. a very large step up or coming down with no handles to hold onto. room was very warm with no ac.

The staff were very friendly and English speaking.The buffet breakfast was plentiful and excellent. The location is right on the banks of the Rhine and close to the shops and bars. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Parking was only a very small problem.

The pillows were terrible as they are in most hotels

Fantastic location. Balcony overlooking Rhine. Decent breakfast and good value. Parking right outside front door - 2 days free (courtesy of the local tourist info) or only 4 Euros per day. Next to river ferry. 2 minute walk to the best food in town. River trips on the Rhine. Trains and busses within 5 mins walk. Hotel room was comfortable enough (didn't spend too much time in it though).

Nothing really. Lacks a few facilities available in larger hotels. Bathroom was a little on the small side - but adequate.

We suggest people who dislike noise do not sleep in Boppard. bells and trains go all night. even double glazing does not silence the noise

Great location and wonderful city! Much better than what you'd find in the tourist-heavy locales to the south. The hotel is quite a value for being right on the river. Very nice!

The manager was a bit of a bore, but nothing you couldn't live with.

The location was fabulous, the room was clean and comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals in their restaurant were delicious and well priced. I would definately recommend this hotel.

The position on the Rhein was excellent. A room with a balcony is well worth the extra cost. Lovely relaxing environment to spend a few days. Breakfast was very good.

The main person in the hotel does everything and is there all the time, is not always the most happiest of people.

Wonderful views of The Rhine and easy access to various other locations along the river. Breakfast is buffet style with a very good selection. Dinner served in the restaurant or outside on the terrace is equally as good. The hotel is situated just off the main market square where there are lots of other alternative eating places.

Close proximity of the trainline with noise of the trains running along the track all night!!!

Located on the Rhine River, all balcony rooms overlook the river and its frequent barge traffic. There is a small road and a sidewalk cafe area between the hotel and the water, and the trans-river ferry (which holds about 8 cars) is almost directly across the street. This is the only ferry for km up and down the river, so it is very convenient. There are also several dockings along the riverfront for sightseeing boats to stop, and a few moor there overnight. Breakfast is included and is a full buffet, including eggs (scrambled and sunnyside up), bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, luncheon meats, various breads and rolls, as well as the nomal continental fare. They do operate a restaurant, but we did not eat there during our stay. There is a small bar area inside, but their patio area next to the river is large and covered, with an excellent view of the river. The hotel operator also arranged for laundry services for us. The room was of moderate size but still plenty of room to accomodate our luggage and leave us enough space to comfortably navigate the room. The bathroom was of average size by European standards, with a stand-up shower and plenty of hot water. There is a door to the balcony which has a small patio table with 2 chairs, which was a marvelous place to sit, relax and watch the river traffic with either a morning cup of "Milch-Koffee" or an evening glass of Rhine wine or Bitburger beer. There is also a window for added light in the day and airflow at night.

We were unaware until arrival that the building next door, with which the hotel until recently shared a wall, was being torn down. As it happened, we arrived Thursday afternoon and departed Monday, so we were spared most of the construction noise and disruption, but it would have been nice to know. In the final analysis, it really was only a mild inconvenience, and never interrupted our sleep.

this hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard.someone mentioned a building site next door but we did not experience any noise,probably one of the prettiest hotels we have ever stayed in.

Building site next door. Hotel adjacent had been demolished No work over weekend but early start on monday morning.

Location excellent, our room comfortably slept 3 and had a balcony overlooking the Rhine. Hotel also had an outdoor restaurant next to the Rhine. We had 2 cars and managed to get spaces right outside the hotel - you just have to keep checking for a space. It has a lift. Also only a short walk from the centre.

We enjoyed our stay at this little pearl by the riverside immensely. The hotel had just had a thorough remake and was ever so neat and nice. Friendly staff - especially the owner. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Spotlessly clean everywhere.
