Breakfasts were very substantial. Restaurant meals were of a very high standard and generous portions - hearty German fare with plenty of variety. View of the river and the city was a highlight.
If you don't have your own vehicle the hotel is not easily accessible but a reliable bus service is available.
The proprietor was friendly and helpful. He allowed us to stay an extra day, due to an unplanned early arrival. The Hotel sits high on a hill overlooking the city and rivers. The view is amazing from anywhere on the property. Nearby "Devil's Steps" were interesting.
Congenial host, good facilities, excellent location, food and service. The owner even offered to store our bicycles in a locked garage.
There was really nothing to dislike about our visit to Rheinkrone. We will return on our next trip to Koblenz.
Location and view and ability to walk into city. Restaurant also good
Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant had an interesting menu and the breakfast was nice, view from the hotel of Koblenz is marvellous!
If arriving on foot it's quite a hike up to the hotel but the 27 bus will get you there very quickly from town,
Views were fantastic from the hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was great.
Bit too far to walk into the city. We were only there for 1 night so ate local to the hotel
Food Position of Hotel Spacious Rooms
Beautiful location. Quiet surrondind. Helpful and friendly staff.
Great location overlooking Koblenz, excellent evening meal in the Restaurant.
Room claen and spacious, excellent view, pleasant restaurant, good value meal.
Route into city convoluted. Very good for a stopover.
the owner the staff the location and the view of Koblenz
the 222 steps down and the 222 steps back up again to get to Koblenz and the hotel restaurant closed on Tuesdays
Cute friendly hotel . Perched high on hill with wonderful views of Koblenz. Good breakfast and excellent restaurant with views aIso . Rooms well appointed and comfortable. Stairs down to river and town steep but manageable without luggage.
Friendly helpful staff. Good food. Clean, comfortable hotel. Good parking. I enjoyed my stay.
Although it looked close to Koblenz, it was on top of a steep hill, making it very difficult to walk to the city. Getting to the city was a longish, roundabout route.
the location and the view
had trouble with the wifi connecting to email
Verz steep hill, if walking, czcling Early closing office
The View Quiet Helpful staff Evening meal good (2nd night) Free wifi but unreliable in our room(8)
Room old fashioned Bar/restaurant not open on day of arrival (Tuesday) limited availability for bars /food in the area. Describes as 1 km from old town, most of that is vertical and is a good 40 mins there downhill and a lot longer back up the hill. Last bus from town at about 8:30 pm
We found the view of the city beautiful, you can see it from the terrace.
No wi-fi in the room. And no phone as well.
A good hotel with wonderful views from an elevated position above and opposite the city of Koblenz. The food is good and the wine list features a good selection of local wines. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi available in the rooms.
The access to the hotel is only suitable by car. The steps down to the river level are currently (April 2014) not in use. If we had done our research properly, we would have seen that hotel is atop a cliff and that the road is best described (by the locals very appropriately) as "serpentine".
A comfortable hotel with great beer and food and an outstanding view of the Rhine and Koblenz. The member of staff who looked after me was excellent.
My room backed onto the car park so I was rather disturbed by some late customers.
Great location. Friendly stuff. Good breakfast
Stuff is quite friendly.
Breakfast is terrible (really terrible), cold rooms (even when we turned the heaters to the full power), too hot blankets, quite poor bathroom. For this money you definitely can find a better place.
Stunning location, lovely views overlooking Koblenz. Excellent food and attentive, friendly staff
Difficult to walk into Koblenz - very steep, windy road, decor a bit dated. Wifi didn't work
Very comfortable bed, with room overlooking river, very special. Meals and service in the restaurant were excellent.Breakfast was very good too.
Wonderful views of Koblenz from our room and the restaurant. Good selection on dinner menu and food excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Car parking on site.
For a short visit, a little too far from town centre to leave car at hotel and walk (also at top of very large hill!). However, easily found reasonable parking near the old town.
