This was the firat time I had stayed at a Rocco Forte hotel so I booked on other customer reviews plus the brand reputation. From the outside the very conveniently located city center oposite a park looks very smart. Once inside everything looks even better. I arrived early but was offered a room immediately - the room itself was large and very comfortable with every possible amenity and the ensuite bathroom was superb. The 'European style' spa was a delight and I would encouage those unfamiliar with the European (nude) style to embrace and enjoy it. It really is more natural,relaxing and enjoyable. The restaurant is first class and I recommend guests opting for a breakfast inclusive package. Do make a reservation for dinner as the restaurant is very popular with smart locals and packed every night - you will see why - it is excellent. One thing in particular that sest this hotel on top is the staff. They are all multi lingual and have to be the most helpful group I have ever come across. They genuinely enjoy helping you. Finally the entire hotel is spotlessly clean. I shall certainly be looking out for other Rocco Forte hotels and will definitely chose The Charles on my next trip to Munich. I made by booking on Booking.com which is quick easy and reliable.

After my glowing review allow me on gripe. 20 EUR a day ( and I know lots of hotels make a similar charge) for internet use is outrageous!

Environment was very quite and location is nearby the train station. Welcoming and service were very good

i think with the same type of the hotel and price the room should be provided with free WI FI

This was our second time staying at The Charles and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time. Great place to stay, great location to take in the Christmas markets and shopping. Staff was attentive and overall a delightful experience and we look forward to our next trip to Munich.

The only negative thing I could say was not to bother with the breakfast buffet as in my opinion there is not a breakfast on earth that is worth $90.00 for two people for eggs, rolls and the typical breakfast buffet you would find at any hotel. There are plenty of places to eat a nice breakfast within walking distance for much much less.

I stayed in Rocco Forte with my two sisters we visit a european city each winter. We liked the location of the hotel. The staff were very professional, especially Yens and his assistant. Everything about this hotel is wonderful we would highly recommend it.

The only drawback was no free wifi. In Ireland access to internet is free in all hotels.

Attentive, solution-focused Concierge- Service. Excellent shower, bath and bathroom design. Lighting good. Bed and Linen superb. Nice mini- platter of chocolates and fruit every evening. Reliable room-service, professional housekeeping. Breakfast choice good. Fruit very fresh.

However, it was not possible to plug own hairstyling device into bathroom electrical socket, as the voltage was for shavers only. No other place with mirror in room, to style hair with own device. Room chilly at night. Thermostat did not respond quickly or adequately. Hotel's own hairdrier too basic ( at 1000 w) and has no nozzle. Restaurant unimaginative. Grilled fish ( 'Steinbutt') portion too small and , overcooked and dry. Caesar Salad a mushy disaster of shredded lettuce drenched in sweetish cocktail-mayonnaise. Chef , pls note: Waldorf Astoria Hotel, ny, for authentic recipe ! Not enough floral displays in hotel. Restaurant draughty at night. Piano-bar music audible in restaurant.Continental breakfast overpriced at Euros 30.00.

At the beginning I was worry about the luxury of this hotel, so I booked just 3 nights, once I saw my room I extended my stay to be 6 nights, after the second day and noticed their value services I canceled my booking in Sofitel hotel and extended my stay to be 12 nights. I realy like this hotel and recommended it to anyone.

I loved the location of the hotel as well as the size of the rooms which were quite luxurious and extremely quiet. The design of the hotel was also very good

I feel that WI-FI should be free. I refused to pay opting to choose an Internet cafe near by

30 Euro each for breakfast is very expensive ........ think it may have been worth it as it was excellent. Fine as we travelled as a couple - if my kids had been there would have been unaffordable!

Excellent, highly informative and cooperative staff. Central location within few minutes from the city center. Beautiful interiors with nicely furnished rooms. High standard of cleaniness. Wide selection in the breakfast buffet. The restuarant very tasefully furnished with nice garden view.

Overly expensive. No free service what so ever. Very expensive minbar, room service and restaurants. Despite being a five star hotel there was No available free Wifii even in the main lounge.
