Romantik Hotel Waldhorn  

Really friendly clean family-run hotel in the centre of the old town in a pedestrian area. Excellent value with good food served both inside and on the pavement in front. We were upgraded to a suite as our room wasn't quite ready as we arrived at a busy time. One of the nicest small hotels that I have ever stayed in with excellent breakfast included.

Nothing really. Internet access a bit tricky if you want to be ultra critical but I'd return -no question.

Very nice hotel, kind and professional staff. Excellent quality/price ratio with the discount we received. We chose a superior room for a small supplement and received a small suite. The same was true for a single travelling with us who received the same kind of room. These quiet "apartments" are situated in an adjacent building, reachable from the hotel without stepping outside. The restaurant is excellent, the best in town, although Albert Bouley (18 points Gault Millau) is no longer the chef in charge. Parking space is available at the hotel for a few cars.

The lack of air conditioning was no problem with outside temperatures at 25 degrees max. And cooler evenings. It could become uncomfortable if it gets hotter outside. The internet access is easy and free at the hotel; it needs a special access though for the "apartments" (only one free pass available).

It is located near spot of DB station Ravensburg than I imaged. And can find a many restaurants around this hotel. What's more, night time ware calm during four days stay.

Location was excellent, as was the style/ambience of the hotel.

The young breakfast waitress was perhaps more interested in chatting to the occupants of another table to give good service. After eventually interrupting her to ask for a coffee, which was perfunctorily delivered, we were ignored for the rest of our sitting.

Best location to visit the town, being in the real center and bieng a public parking exactly under the hotel. Room on th eback side of the hotel is very quiet.

In the afternoon, I waited 15 minutes for somebody coming at the reception desk. Nobody awailable or acoming at the bell sound...

The hotel suited our needs perfectly. It was clean; the staff were excellent and spoke English well; the food was delicious and plentiful; the location was close to the event we were attending; and the price, although not cheap, was fair. It would have been nice to have had a private car park but the multi-storey car park below the pedestrian area was reasonably convenient.

It was difficult to get HOT coffee at breakfast. Every morning the coffee that was served initially was only lukewarm until we complained about it.

The location in the center of Ravensburg. The dining was also very good with the regional Badish restaurant a lot of fun and the food and service was very good The room was very clean and had a well equipped bathroom.

The room we had was in front and very noisy in the late evening as the bars closed. Also a bit small. The old part of the hotel has no elevators which was very inconvenient. I ended up carrying heavy cases up and down the stairs which are steep and had small steps. Make sure your room is in the new section so it will be quiet and accessible. The poor rooms are less expensive but there is a good reason.

Die zentrale Lage, das geräumige Zimmer, schönes Bad, gute Ausstattung an Körperpflege-Artikeln inkl. Einweg-Badeschuhen. Die großzügige Frühstückszeit bis 1100h und das breite Angebot an Tageszeitungen. Gutes Frühstück und niveauvolles Ambiente.

Am Marienplatz geht es bisweilen relativ laut zu, Schlaf bei offenem Fenster leicht gestört. Es ist kein Aufzug vorhanden, der Zugang zum dritten Stock über steile Treppen mag für ältere Gäste beschwerlich wirken.

Personal ging auf unsere Wünsche ein, auch über die Angebote auf der Menukarte hinaus. Generell war das Personal dienstbeflissen (meisterte auch die Situation um den Tod des Chefs vorbildlich). Die Rebleuten-Atmosphäre fanden wir angenehm. Besonders begeistert waren wir aber auch von den Kunstangeboten der Stadt, speziell dem neuen Museum.

Verbessern könnte man allenfalls Informationen für Anreisende mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr (inklusive Hinweise auf Ausflugsziele für Kunst-freunde – Weingarten, Biberach und die vielen Museen in Ravensburg, auch Märkte und das Brockenhaus).

Hotelpersonal freundlich und zuvorkomend in Recepetion und Zimmerservice. Gute Innen- Stadtlage.

Leider wurde das gesamte Personal nur mit gut bewertet, weil beim Frühstück noch Nachholbedarf diesbezüglich bestand!! Die junge Dame dort war höflich, das war aber auch alles, freundlich geht anders !! Tische nicht abgeräumt,nicht neu eingedeckt, Tischdecken schmutzig, das wurde dann erst nach Aufforderung und mit Hilfe einer Kollegin aus der Reception erledigt!!Es wurde der Eindruck hinterlassen, daß "man" an diesem Morgen keinen Bock auf Gäste hatte, die etwas später zum Frühstück kamen. Schade, das schmälert leider den sonst guten Gesamzeindruck !!

Nicht kooperierende Recetion !! Gebuchter Parkplatz nicht erhalten !! Steile Treppenaufgang zum Zimmer !! Personal zum Teil unfreundlich.

Die Stadt als solche,die Ausstellung im Museum der Sammlung Selinka leider versäumt!!!!

Man wusste im Hotel nichts von der laufenden Ausstellung!!!!!!!!!

Equipement un peu limite (petite tv, pas de frigo dans la chambre) pour un 4 étoiles et difficulté pour se connecter à internet. Les meubles "craquent" (bruit)

Super-Essen zu Super-Preisen, Sehr schönes, gediegenes Restaurant

Zimmer war sehr enttäuschend.Nicht zum Wohlfühlen. Bad genauso. Zimmer lag gleich neben dem Lift. Sehr hellhörig und laut.Ausserdem bekam ich ein anderes Zimmer, wie in "booking com" angegeben.

Sehr zentrale Lage, hervorragendes Essen, freundliches Personal

4 Sterne sind nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir hatten ein Komfort Doppelzimmer gebucht und ein Appartment erhalten, das von der Ausstattung her nicht besonders ansprechend war. Zudem bei Ankunft ungeheizt, das warme Wasser reichte nicht für eine Badewanne. Der Internet-Auftritt verspricht mehr als gehalten wird.
