Hotel Sachsenhof  

Located close to the subway, Goya (club) located at 100 meters from the hotel and plenty of restaurants and cafes to visit for breakfast/lunch/dinner. In walking distance of KaDeWe and Kurfurstendam.

I've stayed here 4 consecutive years & have always experienced clean, comfortable & pleasant accommodations at an affordable price.

The location is amazing for gay travellers, right on Motzstrasse, near Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn.

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in August 2011. Overall, our experience in the hotel was quite poor. First, the decor in the rooms is quite dated and unconsciously kitschy. Although the rooms are clean, they are in need of redecorating! The worst thing in the hotel was definitely the Wifi connection. It was totally unreliable, slow, inconsistent, and allowed access to some web sites and not to others! In this day and age, a hotel should provide this service at a higher level for its guests. The staff at the hotel were also quite lukewarm and unfriendly. As English-speaking tourists, we felt somewhat unwelcome in the hotel. The hotel also has a policy of taking your key every time you leave. A few times when we came back late from the bars, we felt that the staff were giving us dirty looks. Since the hotel is located on a gay street in Berlin, this was a little surprising! Finally, the check-out at the hotel was 10:00 a.m. Having travelled extensively, we have never heard of such an early check-out! The woman at the desk did, however, let us check out at 10:30 a.m., and she also kept our bags for a few hours. Overall though, they should allow guests to leave closer to noon. All in all, there are better hotels in the area, so shop around!

The Location was perfect for us, it was nice and peacfull with a very pleasent view from our room over a well kept garden, the cost value was excellent and it is located only a few minutes walk from the station at Nollendorfplatz.

The wi fi reception was a little hit and miss but that would be my one and only complaint.

I enjoyed my 5 night stay at the hotel, very much. Room was excellent, super clean and comfortable. Location was great too.. Quiet and lots of cafes, restaurants around.. Very good vibe, the whole neighbourhood. Hotel listened to my requests and kindly corresponded. Thank you!

Good locations and best price

All my visit to Berlin I have been staying at the Sachsenhof hotel, I have been going there for about 7 years now, 5 to 6 times yearly. I think it is good value for money, and is right in the center of Berlin near all the bars and clubs. The staffs are friendly, the rooms are very clean and comfortable.
