Great location, staff was very friendly and helpful Our room was very musty, strong smell of cigarettes, and seemed aged, a little shabby. Not what was indicated from the photo's on the web site, or the physical description. I would consider staying there again if it were an overnighter.

It is a nice comfortable hotel ideally situated beside the railway station and the Technical University (where I was attending a conference). The room price is ok but the breakfast, while very nice, is too expensive at 19 Euro; 12-14 would be about right. However, I enjoyed my stay.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good cooking for our two dinners. Comfortable rooms. Very unsatisfactory bathroom. We complained about leaks from the bath when we released the plug, which meant water spilling over the floor. Nothing was done by the time of our leaving. The bathroom door needed renewing: it was impossible to use during the night without waiking partner. Inadequate shelf space for accessories etc for two people.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Location allowed ease of access around the city. They only offer 2 single beds pushed together for a double bed; they do not have another option or even the single beds joined in any way, hence they slide apart and you are left with a gap to fall into!!

Location The location didn't disappoint but the hotel was expensive and rather faded and in need of a face-lift, the breakfast buffet is way to expensive (19 euros per person). The whole hotell smells of tobacco, a large cigarr bar next to the reception, after a day your clothes smell, had a non smoking room ....

In a word - disappointing. We had requested a twin bedded room and we arrived to a four-poster double bed. We are two middle aged ladies who are friends only - not lovers!!!!!!! I selected the hotel for its past and reputation and also its location. The location didn't disappoint but the hotel was expensive and rather faded and in need of a face-lift. The staff were not very friendly and our room was changed grudgingly. We both loved Berlin (I'd been twice before) but I would never recommend the Savoy. We wouldn't pay 16 euros for the breakfast. We had breakfast one day but then we went out.

it has a great dining room and has a wonderful atmosphere. The cigar bar is unique. The location is great and the street has leafy charm. Breakfast is exceptionally good. The bedroom furniture is a little tired and not quite up to the rest of the experience.

The hotel has a very convenient location close to West Berlin´s main shopping street (Kurfuerstendamm) and its signature building, the Gedaechtniskirche. Still, it is somewhat quieter compared to the main streets. It has some charm of the 1950s or 60s, with its furniture and outside appearance. We found the breakfast buffet to be rather expensive (19 euros per person) and rather chose a trendy coffee shop in the immediate neighbourhood with fresh bagels.

Hotel in excellent location for sighteeing, located close to rail links. City centre location close to shops,bars and restaurants. Hotel very clean and comfortable ideal for relaxing after a busy day sighteeing or shopping. Hotel restaurant expensive but plenty of bars and retaurant nearby.

Good location, nice retro style, very good breakfast, great bathroom, the cigar bar. Heating was not working during the first night of my stay. It wasn't really a problem in my room, but some of my friends had to ask for some electrical heaters to be installed. Next day heating was working and everything was ok.

Location of the hotel is really good, close to the airport, in the city center. Room on 6th floor was really old, not comfortable, no way superioir room like it was called, and of course it's not 4 stars hotel.
