This 3-star hotel offers local food and a children’s corner. It is in the Black Forest resort of Seelbach, a 30-minute drive from Europapark theme park. The family-run Hotel Schmieder’s Ochsen Seelbach has quiet, country-style rooms with satellite TV and modern bathrooms. Some rooms have a balcony. Some are also located in the nearby guesthouse, just 80 metres away. Babyphones, children’s games, and paint sets are available at the Schmieder’s Ochsen. Other facilities include 2 skittles alleys. The Schmieder’s Ochsen provides a breakfast buffet every day. Traditional Black Forest dishes and children’s menus are available in the Ochsen’s restaurant. The stuff was very kind . We can find a lot of information at the hotel . The room was at the last floor without any lift . It was very hot up there ! . The air in the room was dust smelling . The bed was not comfortable . The breakfast was very poor .

We have stayed at the Ochsen several times as a stop on our trips between Spain and Scandinavia. The hotel is very well run, and as guests we are made to feel very comfortable. The Schmieder family are excellent hotelliers!

Friendly staff and good service. Room and bed were fine. bathroom a bit small but effective and clean. Nice terras and good breakfast. The best 3 star hotel we have seen up to now.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten zum Garten hin, das sehr ruhig war. Das Zimmer an sich war sauber und passabel eingerichtet. Das Bad schien neuer und renoviert zu sein. Das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstücksbüffet war auch reichlich gedeckt. Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: das Bad hat einen Abzug (ohne Ventilator) bei dem man sich wünscht, dass er besser funktionieren würde, denn nach dem Duschen hatte man nach ca. 20 Minuten immer noch ein „Dampfsaunagefühl“.

Personal war sehr zuvorkommend! Frühstück wurde sogar auf Wunsch vorverlegt! Gute Parkmöglichkeit! Die Küche war hervorragend!

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil et la situation de l'hôtel. Nous avons moins apprécié le 3ème lit (pour notre fils) qui grinçait dès que son occupant bougeait.

Il fatto che c'è anche un ristorante dell'atmosfera molto allegra e con prezzi ragionevoli, e le camere hanno anche il balcone con tavolo e sedie. Faceva un pò freddo nei corridoi ma non è un difetto importante.
