The manager doesnt speak english at all
Good price; nice room; safe and clean; elevator.
old and small TV.
Conveniently located between the railway station and the 'old town'. Reasonably priced for accommodation plus breakfast.
It looks and feels rather 'tired', but that is only a warning to travellers who have higher expectations than we have.
comfortable bed good public transport
the room is small WC small, old, not so clean bad parking condition simple breakfast
For us was important location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Internet speed was little slow.
Close to the train station. Close to trams and buses. Good breakfast.
Decor a bit dated.
The staff was really helpful and kindly accommodated my needs for the stay.
Very friendly staff, good sustaining breakfast, good fast WiFi and close to Heidelberg train station. Not far to walk to the old town and main shopping area.
Old hotel but good.
Location was pretty good about 15 min walk from AltStadt. Beds were large and clean. The bathroom was quite a big one. We got a parking slot right in front of the hotel, but it may be problematic to get one if the hotel is full. I guess they have sorted it out somehow.
The interior was quite old-fashioned (not in a good sense). There were some slight misunderstandings with the reception lady but it was more like a personal preference of mine of what I expect from receptionist not a really serious problem.
Location, adequate free buffet breakfast with lots of decent coffee, good sized room, windows that open, excellent wifi. Very convenient to both train station (minutes) and for walking to old town. Nice restaurant just down the street. Price and location in Heidelberg Hotel Schmidtt much better than other places we have stayed on other trips.
Bathroom spotless and big enough but awkwardly organized with a sloping shelf over the sink that things kept falling off of. Shower head near the corner of an otherwise spacious tiled shower stall required jamming into the corner to get wet. We stayed three days and perhaps would have been happier with a one night stay.
Close to train station
Very poor wifi.
This is a simple no frills does the job hotel. Yes the rooms are dated, but it is a good example of a job being done right in the first place. The ceilings are high, as you would expect of a building of this age, which did make the room feel a bit uncosy but the hotel owners can hardly be blamed for that ! The room was very clean and everything functioned as it should. The breakfast was also to a very acceptable standard.
Walk to the old town was too far for my liking and the mattress was too soft.
We had a spacious room and were made to feel very welcome. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable accommodation. We were lucky enough to get one of the two off road parking spaces close to the hotel too which was great.
Not that easy to find but situated in a no exit road so was quiet with no passing traffic.
-foods -wifi connection
Small bath room with a toilet, the washbasin is outside the bath room and inside the room, not convenient. It is cheap though for three persons.
easy access to city center, train station and buses/trams
Windows need darker curtains.
Nice breakfast, good staff
Location was really far from the Altstadt, not super safe-feeling for a solo, female traveller
Clean rooms and great breakfast.
Too far from Alt Stadt.
cheaper compare to other places.
far from attractions. dark neighborhood at night. double bed corner room with weird smell.
It's near to city center.
Hotel breakfast was so poor.
Location near the train station & pleasant walk to the city center. owner operator which she takes pride in everything Breakfast is very good Street is very quite Very Clean Will stay again if visiting
No coffee/tea facilities in the room Bathroom too small Furniture/ TV outdated but do the job Got a twin room due to refurb on Lv3
Only about a 15 minute walk to the Old Town. With the Heidelberg card, transport is free around the city. The breakfast which was included in the rate was very good. Housekeeping excellent.
Even though I stayed over a weekend, I paid 75 Euros per night for a single room inc. breakfast. For what I got, I don't believe it was worth it. I expected the room/bathroom to be small as I'm travelling through Europe (and know the definition of small), but I just don't see the value - it's even a 10 minutes walk from the train station, so its not the location. Only CNN in english on TV.
Staff were great, parked motorbikes outside on street. Near to town centre, old and new.
Triple room is a double and a single, not 3 singles. Not an issue as put a mattress on floor
