This hotel was recommended in a travel book and we were very happy with it is as well. It has an excellent location in the heart of old Freiberg close to everything. It was cozy and charming. The included breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day and save money. We loved the hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling to this wonderful city.

Very smart rooms for price. Staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Excellent location, cosy room, very good breakfasts, friendly staff (although not technically proficient)

Wireless internet in the hotel is provided through three access points depending on the location within the hotel. Theoretically username/password combination provided at the reception desk should work for all of these networks. Unfortunately due to misconfiguration of the setup, it works only for the networks not available in our room. Staff was not able to resolve it.

Excellent location. Very central. Walking distance to all the tourist sites. Our trip involved travel by train so the hotel being close to Freiburg railway station was great.

A very nice stay. We came for the Christmas market in Freiburg and this hotel was in one of the nicest parts of the town. We stayed in a separate building with additional rooms which is part of the hotel, just around the corner in a charming little street, as the rooms in the main building were full and we wanted a double and a triple room. We reserved too late to find rooms on the street side but the rooms had a good design with lots of natural light and were comfortable. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and the prices were very reasonable.

Very nice room, with a balcony. The decoration was perfect for an hotel. Breakfast was very good. The restaurant also very good. The personnel was very helpful and nice. If you go to Freiburg stay there. The hotel is right in the city center

Fabulous hotel. Stayed there 3 times. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms in the annex are stylish and modern. Location in the old town is excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was very good.

Noisey

The room was a spacious, clean, double aspect room with a beautiful bathroom and large double bed. The staff on reception were really helpful in providing a tram ticket and parking reduction ticket. We will definitely come back here when we visit Freiburg again.

The room was clean and had all we needed, brilliant location in the old city. Absolutely delicious breakfast which set us up for the day. Would definitely recommemd it to friends and would go again.

Bit noisy from people walking and talking in the street outside, but it was a Saturday night.

Very nice hotel situated near the heart of Freiburg's old town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was a great bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short or extended stay. Close to shops and restaurants/bars. Would stay there again.

I didnt like the beds too much... they are 2 singles pushed together and as they had wheels kept sliding apart so was a little uncomfortable. Needed an extra pillow too because they were flat.

Great location in the heart of the old city. Walking distance to all the tourist venues in that area. Breakfast was excellent, staff very helpful...so much that we would speak in German and they'd reply back in English! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Excellent location for any traveler.

My only complaint was because the temperature was warm and humid, and there were no fans and no air conditioning in the rooms, sleeping in the stifling environment was about impossible. If you stay here, plan it around cooler weather unless you're used to sleeping in very warm rooms.

As we are travelling from Australia and away from home for 3 months it was great to have excellent wi fi connection at any time and no interruptions. When we arrived the hotel manager was very friendly. It is in a great location where we could everywhere around the old town. Car parking was great nearby. We liked the free public transport.

Closing of the windows not efficient. Room at the first floor. So room very noisy because people are discussing very late in the street

This hotel was pretty nice. It wasn't luxury, but very clean, neat, and nice sized room. It was located in the city so shopping and sightseeing were easy to accomplish. The staff was friendly and helpful too.

I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The hotel was very nice for the money. It was the city I didn't care for. It was a bit too big for us. We wished we had gone on to Treiburg instead...have stayed there before and it's much smaller and more to see, unless you like shopping and big cities?
