This hotel lies in a wonderful forested area on the outskirts of the climatic health resort of Triberg, just a short walk from the town centre.

It provides the ideal base for hiking, cycling and skiing, as well as for excursions throughout the Black Forest area, to Lake Constance, to Switzerland and to the Alsace region.

Triberg is located in the heart of the Black Forest and lies at an altitude of 700-1,000 metres. Here you find Germany’s highest waterfalls, which provide a spectacular sight. The 17th-century Baroque church "Maria in der Tann" is also well worth a visit, as is the town hall with its beautiful wooden hall. Marvel at the historic Black Forest farms within the Black Forest Museum, or visit the world’s largest cuckoo clock in the Eble Uhrenpark.

A network of well-marked hiking trails invites you to go hiking, cycling or Nordic walking in the summer, and skiing or tobogganing in the winter.

The beautiful city of Freiburg and the leisure park "Europa-Park Rust" can be reached by car from here in just one hour.

Breakfast buffet was included, and was excellent. Food was generally very good, and served promptly.

Somewhat limited menu and wine selections. And please put BBC on the television list to offer English-speaking travellers an alternative to CNN!

Winter is the perfect time to visit Triberg. The view from the hotel was gorgeous!

Garage parking is available, but limited. During the Winter, it's a must-have.

Although the hotel commands excellent views, there is a very steep trek into the main town which is approx 10 mins to walk. Car parking was good. Town was quite until coach loads of tourists visited.

Lovely spacious rooms,good batheroom,best view from room of black forest

Hotel did not reply our query on email regarding inquiry about reaching hotel inspite of our 3 mails and it was really necessary as its far from station triberg and transport from station is bad and guidance from hote;l staff to the customer is necessary especially when asked!

Nice location. Room was spacious with good size bathroom. Room had balcony with pretty view of city below.

Parking is free but individual parking spaces were not that big. I own a BMW 525 and it was kind of a tight fit.

Ruime kamers, vriendelijke bediening, zwembad, goed eten.

Pas om 1400 op kamer mogen, ook al als je 1230 bent aangekomen. Parkeerplaatsen te krap.

Notre interlocuteur parlait français, il a bien présenté l'hôtel et les environs. taille des chambres agréables.
