the room was huge and had a great view. the pool was great. breakfast was very good. parking was right underneath the hotel and had a lift and stairs up. location was very good. lots of restaurants and shops and the waterfall are within walking distance. with the hotel the falls and museum plus public buses were free of charge. the staff was limited, they had them doing to many things at once.

The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel was quite comfortable with a large room and bathroom. I enjoyed the view of the Pilgrimage Church from the large balcony (room 13). The breakfast buffet was filling and the restaurant’s dinner was excellent! I would return to this hotel. While the view from the hotel is very nice, it is some distance from the main tourist attractions. It was too far to walk to the shops and the waterfall. We had a car, so it was no problem for us but for visitors without a car, it might prove a little challenging on foot.

Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also good. Some of the staff were a little bit cool, not giving a smile. I guess it was because they were doing several duties at a time. I saw the same person working as waitress, receptionist and house maintainance.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Restraunt was amazing. Didn't care for the down feather pillows, but no hotel has ever had a pillow that satisfied me.

The location at the top of the town. The helpfulness of the staff. The large light and very comfortable rooms. The excellent breakfast. On arrival we were given free bus and rail passes to travel the area (there is a small local tax to cover this) but well worth using and got us around cheaply and easily. Also they had one of the best wines I have ever had, unfortunatley not enough of it and we drank it all on the first night :(.

The size of the rooms, the breakfast, the location and the pool. The bar closed earlier than noted on the door on Sat. night. We went to have a drink at 8:00, the sign said it closed at 10:30 and it was already closed. When we asked about it we were just told it was closed.

The hotel staff were great. There was the typical European breakfast, but it was plenty. They had enough choices to keep the kids happy. We reserved a two bedroom "apartment" and it was worth it. Parking was a little tricky with a larger car, but was manageable. From what I gather, summer is their season, so when it gets busy, they offer parking in their garage for 3 euro. It's only a short walk to the waterfalls, and the main street. Being that it wasn't their season I thought the room was a little over priced. We paid 150 euros for one night.

The location was very nice and easy to get to and the staff were friendly. The size of the room was very nice with a sitting area. The mattresses were very hard and the pillow, there was only one per person, was extremely soft and flat. We slept very badly due to being so uncomfortable and woke up with headaches. The shower area had only a small window close to the faucets forcing you to stay very close to the drain area in order to not get alot of water on the floor. Also the heater in our bathroom had masking tape on the electric cord and we felt that was very unsafe.

Very nice hotel close to falls with a fantastic view. Rooms were nice size and clean. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast was very good with quite a variety of items. Would not hesitate to stasy there again. Beds had 4" gap between them from wooden frames being pushed together.

Manager and his wife were extraordinarily nice. Rest of staff was also nice, but manager and wife stood out. Bit of a walk to town, so you need to be aware of that. Upside is that being up the hill from city center meant that views of Triberg from hotel were fabulous. Every room has balcony. Great breakfast. Free admission to waterfall trails for staying at the hotel.

The breakfast was outstanding! Real value for money, great food, healthy choices and delicious coffee! Pool was nice but had too much chlorine which made swimming without goggles painful.

The family room we booked was very spacious and clean. Very good breakfast. They had both German and American variety of foods. The Hotel restaurant was not very good, the people were great but the food could have been better. The hill to get to the city is very steep!

Great location, nice apt. Cannot understand why staff would not fill out a tax form for our visit. We were told 'No" because we got a "special" deal. I have no idea what deal we got! We would like to file for our tax exemption for this stay.

The hotel is a good deal for the price, I.E., large rooms, decent facilities, etc., but as can be expected, is a bit dated and a shabby. It's definitely a good deal for young families. That being said, Triburg is not the most beautiful destination, and I would not recommend it.

Room 11 has to be the worst room in the hotel. View of the house next door and the back of the hotel. For 150 euro, we thought we had a two bedroom apartment to sleep 4. Turns out there were three beds and a couch with a sheet over it. Some of the other rooms on the upper floors probably have a great view of the town, but not this one.
