Nice and renovated room, close to the train station, elevator, breakfast included
Nice building, very nice staff, perfectly clean, EXCELLENT BREAKFAST, just no eay to get the room dark in the morning - too much light, impossible to sleep in the early morning, even if verrry tired...
The proximity to the station where the airport bus arrives; the furniture special, beautiful and unique; courtesy, kindness and professionality of the staff; the very good breakfast; the hotel and the rooms very clean. The good price. For us, it is a five star hotel!
Clean, comfortable hotel in very convenient place. All main attractions easy reachable. Helpful staff at reception and during breakfast. Breakfast was very good. Room very clean with comfortable bed.
Bathroom too small. Room can be bigger , but Ok for short stay.
Did a tour around Gemany and this was our favorite hotel. While it is a small boutique hotel, the rooms were spacious and modern. There was a small charge for WIFI but it was worth it. Smoking fast. The street was in a quiet part of town but close to the city. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful for tourists. Breakfast was amazing and the service stellar. I would absolutely stay here again. Oh and Freiburg is an amazing town.
Nothing this was a great hotel. If you are staying in Freiburg do not look any further.
Helpful staff, I traveled with my bike and they kept it secure while I wasn't using it
The rooms don't have AC or fans, this is will not be a problem for most people, and most of the year (since Freiburg is cold) but the days I stayed I missed the cool air and with the raid I couldn't have the windows fully open
This hotel is small, but has every thing which you need. The staff are very nice and helpful.
Location (extremely central), ambiance (super cozy & great attention to detail), facilities in the room (excellent), the breakfast (excellent quality, healthy & a LOT of options), friendliness of the staff (some even remembered my name!!). I would love to visit Freiburg again and stay at Minerva.
Great central location, yet down a quiet side street. Modern but small room (and with a very small and rather tired bathroom). The breakfast was nice enough
The room was described as having a king size bed, when in reality it was no larger than a double. But what really let this hotel down was the staff. I felt like I was an inconvenience the entire time I was there, as though if only I had not been there, they would have been able to attend to whatever it was that seemed more important in welcoming and serving their guests. If you can not be friendly and hospitable then don't work in the hotel trade. I met three staff and not one of them was helpful so I would not recommend, not return to the hotel if I visited the area again
Very close to the train station and the town center. Hotel offered a free pass for all public transports during the stay, which was really nice. Great breakfast. Quiet hotel.
Room was too hot without the possibility of A/C. Had to sleep with window open.
The breakfast has a nice selection of food and drinks. The location is close to the main station.
The internet connection was very poor and hardly usable on my PC. I was able to answer emails on my smartphone or iPad. The noise from the drunken customers from next door was quite loud till three AM.
Just the architecture of this building was impressive. I loved the old curved wooden staircases and the armoires used to decorate each landing. The windows were beautiful as well. The offerings for breakfast were outstanding. I loved the cheese assortment offered and the cooked bacon and the variety of juices and mineral water offered. The staff at this hotel is so very professional, yet helpful. At check-in I was given a transportation pass I could ride on the local busses and trams Free of charge by showing this card. That was a wonderful perk. I do not know if all Freiburg hotels offer this, but it was so great to not worry about which type of ticket to buy and having change etc. etc. One of the staff even loaned me a fork so I could enjoy a treat I had purchased at a local bakery. How many other hotels would allow guests to borrow silverware? I was so impressed by the size of the room and the bathroom and the closet. I had plenty of space in the double closet. At another hotel the closet was one foot deep and no bag would begin to fit. This bathroom had a tub (with shower). It was by far the largest bathroom I had during my trip. (5 diff. Hotels in 5 diff cities)
Staff not service oriented, rude personnel. There was no shower in our room, only an old bath tub not really clean.
Friendly, personal atmosphere, excellent location and brakfast. The historic building, although this also involves a little bit less comfort.
The room was ultra spacious and the bathroom was also very nice but this was a more expensive hotel than most so these things are to be expected , The breakfast was also exceptional
The parking is " a challenge" you have to use a public car park about 10 mins walk away and although this is discounted from there day rate. Unless you speak relatively good german you may have a problem explaining why you should get it / finding a parking attendant to organise this . the Wifi here was appalling 50k speeds I ended up tethering my phone instead.
