Excellent location. Near railway station, subway, city center. Friendly staff. Very broad offer and good qality food for breakfast. Very clean. Broad internet speed offer. Very well functioning free internet.

Friendly staff Efficiency

The Hotel Unger was a perfect mix of affordability, with efficient staff, and a perfect location near the center of Stuttgart. We stayed one night with two small children and the staff couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. The little touches made the stay that much more special, fresh apples and tea, vast array of good quality breakfast choices, and a very clean facility at a price that could not be beat by any of the other 4 star hotels in city center I had researched. This place is a winner!

There was nothing we did not like. I would say that for travelers who want to 'step it up' and stay at a more modern hotel with more facilities, than Hotel Unger might not be the place. However, for the location and the price, I could not imagine another hotel that could beat it.

Location of hotel and its cleanliness. Bar prices were reasonable and the quality of the breakfasts was very high. Reception staff were generally very helpful, but see further comments.

My wife 'phoned me from England during my stay with an urgent message but the gentleman on reception who took the call said that he was busy and, as she didn't have my room number, she would have to 'phone back later. Not good customer service!

The location to Stuttgart main station and the subway is perfect. Quiet street at night. The breakfast is very good and the breakfast staff is very friendly and helpful. The man manager at night with the big hair is a quite nice person. Quick check in and out. Supermaket and restaurants all around including the main shopping pedestrian street, Konigstrasse.

The single bed rooms are tiny. Even renovated looks old. The staff at the reception desk is helpful and efficient but an smile or hello from time to time would be nice. The people smoking right at the entry door is quite annoying because of the smoke. The breakfast room should be extended. At 07:30am I had to wait to get a seat because it was full.

I always wanted to come to Germany when it is snowing !!!! and I enjoyed the time I spent at this little town when the snow was covering everything .

I have stayed several times at the Hotel Unger. I come to Stuttgart to go to the opera. I am opera Intendant. It is perfectly located, near the Hauptbahnhof and the Opera House. I have always found the staff pleasant, and very helpful. The rooms are excellent, and the cost of staying at the hotel is very reasonable. The breakfast is exceptional, one of the very best I have encountered in Germany.
