This historic, 3-star hotel lies in the picturesque village of Kobern-Gondorf, along the Moselle River. It is half a mile from the station and a 15-minute train ride from Koblenz. The cozy rooms and apartments in the 400-year-old main building of Hotel Simonis are individually decorated and include a minibar and a flat-screen TV. The timber-framed building next door dates from 1321 and houses some of the spacious suites and quadruple family rooms offered by the hotel. Guests are welcome to keep in touch via free Wi-Fi internet access, available in the public areas of the Simonis. Look forward to a delicious breakfast buffet each morning (fees apply), before setting out to explore your surroundings. The hotel offers a bike-rental service, so you can discover the beautiful Moselle countryside at your own pace. The restaurant serves traditional German cuisine and fine local wines, which you can enjoy by the cozy fireplace in winter. The room was beautiful and the hotel had modern amenities with old world charm. The co-owner of the hotel got sick and cancelled our reservation that we made on booking.com and when we arrived there was no one there to explain the situation. Her husband, the other owner later told us we could stay for one of the two nights we booked, but would then have to move to his other hotel for the second night. The second hotel was no where near the quality of Simonis and the fact that we had to switch during our 2 day vacation was quite a pain. They then charged us the full price for the second night even though the second hotel was much cheaper. He did offer us a free dinner at the hotel restaurant, but we ended up still having to pay for drinks. I feel bad for the owner who was sick, but I would no recommend staying here unless you speak German and can call in advance to make sure your reservation is truly confirmed.

The little village of Egmond aan Zee is nice and quiet. The hotel is clean, very confortable and the balcony on the seaside is wonderfull. In the apartment ther's a very fast Wi-Fi connection. The hotel's owners are really very kind and helpful.

Die Hoteliers sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist ein wenig renovierungsbedürftig was die Zimmer angeblangt, aber es besticht durch wirklich saubere Zimmer. Die Lage ist ebenfalls okay, Restaurants sind gleich in der Nähe und ebenfalls eine Sparkasse. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Das Hotel war zu meiner Zeit ( April) kaum beheizt, es war also, gerade was den Frühstücksraum betraf sehr kalt. Die Zimmer nach vorne raus sind sehr laut wg. Der vorbeirauschenden Bahn.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Ort. In der Umgebung gibt es ausgezeichnete Wandermöglichkeiten und danach kann man lecker Essen und Trinken gehen.Das Hotel selber ist ein historisches Haus. Die Zimmer sind renoviert, allerdings ist die düstere Farbwahl und schwere Plüschstoffwahl Geschmacksache.

De eigenaars waren ontzettend vriendelijk, geen vraag was te veel. het hotel was in een zeer oud gebouw en deze sfeer werd behouden, zeer aangenaam. hier en daar wat rommelig.

Nettes, kleines Hotel mit Charme in zentraler Ortslage mit nett eingerichteten Zimmern. Wir hatten Suite No.9, War sehr schön. Restaurants und Weinstuben in direkter Umgebung zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr gute öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung nach Koblenz (buga). Teilweise defekte Einrichtung legt den Schluß nahe dass diese nicht regelmäßig überprüft wird. In unserem Fall, 1 Lampe im Bad defekt, linke Schiebtür der Dusche verkantet und rutscht aus der Führung, Wasserhahn in der Dusche schwergängig (war für meine Frau mit eingeseiften Händen kräftemässig nicht bedienbar). Es liegt im Hotel kein Fahrplan für Zug- und Busverbindungen aus, die erteilte Auskunft war Z.T. nicht korrekt was Fahrzeiten anbelangt und ich hätte mir den Hinweis gewünscht, dass bis zu 5 Personen mit einem 1Personen-Tages-Ticket zur Buga hin und zurück fahren können. Das erfuhren wir dann gerade noch rechtzeitig von einem Ehepaar am Ticketautomaten. Das sind aber alles keine großen Dinge und haben den Spaß am Aufenthalt nicht gemindert.

Das Hotel Simonis ist ein Hotel mit besoderem Flair. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Ambiente und man fühlt sich um Jahre zurückversetzt in eine andere Epoche. Das Ganze strahlt eine gewisse Ruhe aus. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und schnelle Hilfe bei kleinen Problemen. Bestimmt wird noch einmal ein Kurzurlaub mit Freunden dort stattfinden.

Gutes und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet, Chefin gab einige gute BUGA-Tipps, Hotel verfügt über keine Parkplätze, Zugstrecke liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe (Lärm), wir wurden kühl und wenig gastfeundlich empfangen, das Hotel ist für gehbehinderte absolut nicht geeignet, der Frühstücksraum ist sehr düster, sehr kleines Badezimmer, Zimmer sind "sehr speziell" eingerichtet, Aufmerksamkeit: obwohl wir 5 Personen waren - war für uns nie ein entsprechender Frühstückstisch parat. Das Simonis stufe ich unter die Kategorie "Garni" ein (nur Frühstück). Kobern könnte ein netter und Mosel-typischer Ort sein - dies geht jedoch durch die sehr spezielle Gastronomie im Dorfkern verloren - sehr schade.

das Zimmer war nicht wie das normale einheits hotelzimmer eingerichgtet, sondern sehr leibevoll (zum Thema Büsum/ Strand/ Seefahrt) Der speiseraum war ebenfalls weit weg vom Eineheitsraum, die Tische standen angenehm weit auseinander. Das Zmmer war nicht besonders schallisoliert, ich habe meinen Zimmernachbarn recht deutlich sich räuspern gehört Das Frühstück war etwas karg, aber vielleicht bin ich da von den großen Ketten verwöhnt.....
