Much higher quality than expected. We booked it for the price (69 eur) expecting it to be a hostel-type place, but it turned out to be a real hotel.

There was a last-minute change of plan (our fault), but the hotel did not react very well to it. I originally planned to come alone, but then decided to bring my partner, so we needed to change from a single room to a double room. My partner went to the hotel while I had a business meeting, and the hotel told him that they cannot change the booking and sent him away to wait in the car. In the evening, we went together to make the change and the price went up from 69 EUR (original booking for single) to 172 EUR including breakfast (!). I checked afterwards and the price they charged was higher than the price that I could find on booking.com for the very same night. Given that we booked the hotel because of the cheap price, this was a rather unhappy ending. I think that the way the hotel handled the request by my partner and the fact that they only gave us the most expensive rack rate for the change of booking was not graceful handling of the situation.

Hotel was well presented, and I liked the little extras like the free fruit at reception.

The room was a very small single, and in particular I did not like being in such a small single bed. I think in most other hotels a single room would still have a small double these days, especially for the price I was paying.

The helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff. The breakfast was excellent and the bar facilities were good and again with very friendly staff.

Would have liked tea making facilities in the room.Would also have appreciated more shelf space as could not reach those in wardroble.

Located 100m from the u3 metro line, which runs in a large loop around the centre of the city. This means you can get to all the main attractions really easily from Smolka. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and the bar has a good selection of malt whiskeys.

Comfortable hotel with quite a retro furnishing, which is fine if you're into this kind of thing. Spacious room with an excellent bed.

The bathroom smelled a bit weird.

Covenient location with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and worth the price. The small, but stylish bar area was also quite nice. The room was quiet and we were able to get a good night's sleep. We would stay here again.

The only thing that was missing for us was a place to put shampoo and soap in the shower. The only option here was to place it on the floor and bend down to get it.

The hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and in very good conditions, location was great with an underground station nearby and a short walk from the lake. Free complimentary WiFi in the lobby extremely useful.

Neighborhood: quiet but near everything. Hotel: small and personal with large rooms, excellent bath rooms, attention to detail. Recommend it highly.

I absolutely loved my stay in the hotel. The staff were wonderful and I had the best meals in the bar three nights running. Would recommend to anyone and cannot wait to go back.
