Restaurant and Bar were excellent as were all the staff
mini bar didn't work......
Such a lovely hotel, gorgeous decor, very cool! Facilities in room were exceptional! Felt very luxurious for an affordable price.
Great Design Hotel with very clean and comfortable room and bed with great fitness-room. Staff very friendly and hip.
No Parking accommodation at the hotel. No possibility to drive car next to entrance and clear/load car. Room-keys were handed out without check of identity. Staff sometimes lacks professionality you would expect in a 5Star location.
The hotel was unique and it was one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. Normally on a short city break you don't see your hotel as sightseeing is more important but I wanted to spend time in the hotel!
Personal steam room in the bathroom, massive, comfortable bed, great room service, fantastic selection of toiletries, good location.
Couldn't check in until 4.30pm, the Bose sound system wasn't in our room and wasn't replace until the next day despite two calls to reception.
Everything from the staff and their attention to detail, to the restaurant and bars with their great atmosphere and vibe. It has a proper gym too not like some hotels with excellent spa facilities.
Location, great interior design, Stunning city views from the pool rooftop bar area. We dinned in the main bar area good food and wines. Excellent value compared to London, staff courteous all speak good English. Plus Tom Hanks was in the bar the night we were so good enough for him. We had a room the size of an apartment for 1/3 of what you would pay in London or Hong Kong. Great place I will definitely go back.
Internet connection is the best one I've tested in Berlin.
Individual Retro Style Clown room Comparably central
"We are sooo super cool and special attitude" Broken shower Loud, annoying air conditioning at night prevents you from sleeping and relaxing Stay in hotel seems like one big Cow shed sales event
Wonderful atmosphere in the hotel. Bars and restaurant had a great vibe. Roof top pool was beautiful.
Would have liked a bed turning service. Staff knocked early evening to supply more towels and drinking water, but a return to tidy the room whilst out for the evening would have been perfect.
Very comfortable rooms with excellent bathroom goodies and very comfortable bed!
Concierge was very unknowledgable!! Couldn't give me any information I wanted! Breakfast table was very poor!!!
Excellent and comfortable hotel in a good location. Easy walking distance to open top bus with access to whole city. Good food at the hotel and not too expensive. Cocktails good and all too easy to rack up an expensive bar bill!! Weather not good so didn't get a chance to try roof top pool out. Staff polite but not overbearing.
At the price, breakfast should be included. Parking not easy as to avoid paying nearly 50 euros for two days you need to park in a public car park which is not easy to find. As an aside - if you use the open top bus, the microphone sound was poor so if you want commentary in English I would suggest you use the pre-recorded bus options. Would we stay again if we were in Berlin? Yes and no - we would stay in the hotel again but unlikely to visit Berlin again. With all the other lovely places in Germany (Berchtesgaden. Bamberg, Black Forest) we would rather spend time elsewhere, to be honest.
Excellent hotel with excellent service. Down to earth atmosphere with no tie policy! Perfect stay for creative people and to get to know people. I got an upgrade (which might be a marketing strategie from the hotel.) But they could do nothing as well and I would write probably the same. So if you want to have a special experience book the Soho. I traveled around the world and stayed in even more luxurious hotels but I believe it's the image and people who make it!
Location Staff is non-formal, but very good Building and decoration are fabulous
Parking next to the House is very expensive. Maybe work on some sort of deal for hotel guests?
It's a private member a club so you basically don't need to leave the building :) they have everything you need
The building is fantastic, the lobby, the rooms, the bar, the terrace.
Poor service, far from 5-star. Had to call daily for refill on water, coffee etc. Reception staff ok, but the rest was not service minded.
the different elevators
Helpful, unassuming, kind staff Beautiful decor and ambiance Flavourful and sophisticated cuisine
Discouraged from taking photographs If you take bath products you must pay for them. Smaller selection of complimentary products should be on offer.
We loved Soho House, from the staff, the room, the Cowshed products, to the bar and the breakfast. We were there celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary and checked in to find a bottle of champagne in our bedroom, nice touch! The shower (giant rain shower) with the full size Cowshed bottles of different shower scents and shampoo/conditioner made the stay even nicer (I think I showered 2 times a day!) and the bed was so comfortable it made it difficult to want to get up!
It wasn't very clear how to turn the lights up in the bedroom (as they were permanently on dimmer) - which was very annoying. The only other grumble was the fact that the Soho House book in the bedroom said you could buy the book for 20 Euros at reception, but when we went to do that, they said only members could get it for that price, despite the writing in the book. This left a little bit of a bad taste in our mouth.
- Staff - room size - location
- the room wasn't cleaned up properly - buffet breakfast was quite poor and drinks were not included into the price - it is not possible to turn off air condition. Even if the fuse is off air is circulating and making noise always - some noise was on the other side of the wall and staff could not solve that issue, so I had to sleep with earplugs
Great Staff. Great Style. Big Apartment amazing! Food very good! With great weather this hotel comes into its own with it cool roof top pool!
Everything was perfect. Only one niggle. No movies on entertainment system and poor and outdated DVD collection.
We loved it! From the second we arrived we felt so well looked after, and the giggly reception guys were not only hot but so lively and lovely with it. I opted for an upgrade, and they upgraded me again to a suit!!!! Made our trip to Berlin epic!! Same goes for the bar staff who looked after us fabulously. I cant wait to go back...am taking my brothers this time!
The hotel was fabulous. I stayed here with my friend and we just fell in love with this place. It's expensive but we didn't spent too much there because we ate at other plaes and didn't go to the spa.The gym is free.We had dinner at the restraint just once but we totally liked it.The maid was cleaning our room twice a day (actually once, but somebody from the stuff always came in the afternoon to check whether everything is ok and if we need anything). The interior reminds of the Era of Socialism in Germany mixed with some chick modern details. I would describe the hotel as very sophisticated.
The stuff was trying to take too much money as deposit. We have sad in advance we don't want them to do anything with the credit card and if necessary, we'd like to pay deposit per cash. They took 50 per cent from the whole room price and the city tax (we didn't know anything about city tax, even when I asked in advance per E-mail the stuff didn't mention it), so the deposit was about 920 Euro (9 nights). We were a bit confused. When checking out we found out it was wrong, and the stuff didn't have right to take as much money. And the city tax was included in the price. Even after taking cash as deposit they were to charge off money off the credit card. Happily there wasn't any more money on this credit card. So, the paying experience in this hotel was a bit unpleasant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Club bar and dining were great. Exciting, vibrant place.
